On Wednesday night the lovely Leyla & I went to the Fashion Bloodhound Showcase at the Francis Hotel in Bath on behalf of The Image Consulting Company. I felt like I was walking into Carrie Bradshaw’s wardrobe or something, it was amazing. I tried on the most amazing Mawi cocktail ring, there’s pics below. Some of the pieces were just incredible. Seeing Halston Heritage and Alexander McQueen in real life, holding it in my hand, pretty incredible when you’re used to drooling over them in films, or online and you’re used to clutching a Topshop bag on the bus home. (Not that I take the bus, but you get the analogy)
You can check out Leyla’s blog post on the night over at The Image ConsCo site. You can also follow Leyla on Instagram @leylaamba1993. Fashion Bloodhound are an amazing little business who buy in preloved designer or vintage goods and sell them on at reduced prices. I think this is an amazing idea! The pieces were in amazing condition and for 70 or 80% off the original price. I fell in love with these Michael Kors Caged Sandals. Oh my lord. I wouldn’t take them off for about 20 minutes. They retailed for £950 but were on sale at the Showcase for £300. Incredible markdowns.
I also bagged myself some amazing lime green/yellow Pedro Garcia trainers for £10. TEN QUID. They were £200 originally. Almost laughable discount. I love them they are so garish and bright and anyone who knows me, knows I love a good bright pair of trainers. You might have already seen me parading them on my Instagram if you follow me; @alliemayredmond on Insta.
My outfit of the night consisted of Miss Selfridge leather skirt, H&M rings, Monki Grey Tee and New Look White Caged Heels. Lipstick; 17 at Boots in Hot Chilli and necklaces were gifts. Michael Kors watch.
