I’m a proper breakfast queen! I can never go without it and will never understand people that can go until lunch without eating anything. Usually, Luke and I have eggs either scrambled, fried or poached with bacon, toast or avocado. Occasionally we’ll have muesli or porridge if we fancy a chance! When Alpro got in touch with their new campaign all about their soya yoghurt ranges I was really excited.
I don’t eat a lot of dairy as I find if I binge on it I break out so Alpro’s Soya Big Tops is really good for me as I love yoghurt! It’s one of the things that I really miss when I’m on a bit of a dairy ban. #AlproTops is all about getting creative with your breakfast using Alpro’s Big Pot alternatives to yogurt as your blank canvas.
Day 1 – Vanilla with Chia Seeds, Strawberries and Dark Chocolate
Alpro very kindly send me each flavour of their Big Tops in Lemon & Lime, Vanilla, Plain and Strawberry & Rhubarb and a whole host of toppings to experiment with over the course of the week. Some of the toppings that they included were dark chocolate, dried strawberries, chia seeds, cinnamon and goji berries!
Day 2 – Strawberry & Rhubarb with Banana, Cranberries, Chia Seeds & Goji Berries
I also received a beautiful selection of Bloomingville bowls which I was really excited about because some of our favourite bowls are starting to chip and these three are so pretty. The icing on the cake though, was the personalised spoon with my name and #Alprotops on it! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a spoon with a hashtag on it…
Day 3 – Plain with Strawberries, Banana and Muesli
Day 4 – Lemon & Lime with Chia Seeds, Goji Berries and Satsuma
The Lemon & Lime Alpro Big Pot is probably my favourite! It taste exactly like lemon meringue pie, I’m not even joking! It’s awesome.
Day 5 – Strawberry & Rhubarb with Muesli & Flaxseed
I really loved this breakfast challenge! It made a nice change to the daily routine. I’d definitely like to keep it up for my mid-morning snack at work as I find if I have yoghurt for breakfast I’m starving by 9am. But it’s such a nice snack and you can be really creative with the toppings. My favourite yoghurt was the Lemon & Lime version but I really enjoyed the Strawberry & Rhubarb flavour too!
A massive thank you to Alpro for inviting be along to be one of their blogger ambassadors for this challenge! I’m definitely a soya yoghurt convert now.
