I’ve just come back from an amazing week’s break in Greece. We stayed in Kassiopi, Corfu which is near the top of the island. Here’s a few things that I’d massively recommend doing whilst you’re there or in the surrounding areas.
1. Eat at The Three Brothers / Old School Taverna
This is THE best restaurant in Kassiopi for sure! Look at that prawn linguine, it was amazing. Also, a large glass of wine here works out at around £1.70 a glass, pretty good if you ask me. Another really nice place to eat is Tavernaki – their baked feta is the one.
2. Stay at Melina Bay
Melina Bay is a boutique hotel that only has 22 rooms and faces the tiny harbour. It lights up blue at night and is a really lovely and luxury place to stay. If you’re after a super cheap option, we also stayed at Phillipos Apartments for two nights at the beginning of our holiday before Melina, they have the biggest pool and the rooms are basic but only 40 Euro a night for two people. Kassiopi is perfect if you’ve got loads to spend or not much at all – there’s a place for every budget.

3. Hire a Speed-Boat/Quad And Explore
We did both of these and we also had a Dune buggy for a day to zoom around the island visiting a load of other little towns and villages such as Sidari, Agni, San Stefano and Archarvi.
4. Go Snorkelling
Before we went away we went to Decathlon and bought the cheapest sea shoes and some snorkels/goggles to go in the sea with. The little shoes are seriously essential – you can’t go in the sea without it as it’s quite gravelly under-foot and you can see all the fish under the water with the goggles/snorkles. It’s really amazing to see.
5. Eat a Gyros Pitta
These are the best kebabs you’ll ever have! They come in chicken or pork with a mayo mix of paprika with mustard and some fresh salad in amazing pitta breads – the best ones are from a place called Grill & Chill! Oh, and you have to have the Greek yoghurt with honey, and frozen yoghurt with raspberry and Meze and pretty much everything!
