Wedding season is upon us. From April to September there will no doubt be some weddings happening in your family or friendship group so it’s time to start planning those outfits. Here’s five style picks to make sure you’re the best-dressed couple at the reception!
1. The Jumpsuit
I’m obsessed with jumpsuits, they’re my go-to for any occasion as I think they’re a bit different! I usually don’t feel very comfortable in dresses, I feel too dressed up so jumpsuits are a winner for me. I love the print and the shape of this Whistles Lilias Jungle print jumpsuit. It’d look great with wedges or neutral barely-there sandals so you can adapt your shoe choice according to the terrain (i.e is there grass?!) at the event you’re attending.
2. The Suit
Of course, a suit is a given for most weddings but you can tone it down from feeling like you’re in the boardroom to a more relaxed wedding guest style by losing the tie and opting for a pastel shirt and a soft grey suit. TM Lewin have some great quality stylish pieces for guys when it comes to investing in occasion wear and don’t forget the pocket square for an extra style injection.
3. The Prom Dress
This blue Warehouse number is such a pretty shape and it’s really demure so there are no worries about showing too much skin or being too over the top. It’s also a fab length for everybody!
4. The Lacy Number
Lace is always a winner for a summer wedding I think, it’s just so pretty, no matter what shape the dress, lace will always make it feminine and gorgeous. This ASOS Lilac Lace Crop Detail Midi Dress is a fab colour that will suit a lot of skin tones and would look fab with nude accessories. You’ll look polished without showing up the bride or the bridesmaids!
5. The Monk Straps
These ASOS Monk Strap Shoes are a step away from the normal brogues that we see from day to day and they really make a statement. Pair with jeans and a smart blazer for a more casual wedding or rock with the wedding-appropriate grey suit above for a formal day.
