Recently, McArthur Glen East Midlands Designer Outlet invited me down to check out their awesome White Shirt Bar that’s been up and down the country at all of the designer outlets. Opened by Milly Mackintosh earlier in the month, (one of my style crushes), and showcasing all of the gorgeous shirts that Brooks Brothers have created, the White Shirt Bar is a pretty cool addition to any shopping trip.
The outlet also challenged me to style up one of these fabulous white shirts, a wardrobe classic for anyone, and here’s how I got on.
I went with exactly how I would naturally wear a shirt like this. It’s amazing quality and quite smart and fitted so I went with a look to bring it down in a slightly more casual way as I wouldn’t usually wear a fitted shirt without layering it. So, the Brooks Brothers White Shirt was paired with this super soft Calvin Klein Logo Sweatshirt that I also picked up from East Midlands Outlet because you can’t get me out of the CK Jeans store once I’m there! I’m also never out of these Topshop Mid Blue Rip Knee Mom Jeans at the moment because they’re so comfortable. I actually sized up in these so they fit really loosely and look really cool with pretty much everything. Finally, this Marks & Spencer Grey Boucle Boyfriend Coat has been my buy of the season. I bought it a few weeks ago when it wasn’t even cold yet because M&S had an awesome 20% off Sparks offer going on and I’m so glad I did because there aren’t many sizes left. I’ve linked to a similar one here and here from ASOS!
Accessories wise, my trust Adidas Stan Smith trainers came for the ride. You can actually pick these up in the furry blue and red styles in Sole Trader at East Midlands Outlet too as well as Vans, Converse and loads of other branded kicks.
My Marks & Spencer Faux Leather Mini Grab Bag was my bag of choice because it’s so small and cute but still fits my purse in and is a fab colour. I’ve had loads of complement on this bag and I think it was only about £25, it’s such a bargain and looks a lot more expensive in my opinion.
I’m so glad that I’ve got such a versatile and clean-cut shirt in my wardrobe now as I know it’s going to be so useful for future smarter events and when I’m feeling like adding a collar to my sweatshirt collection!
Huge thanks to McArthur Glen for collaborating with me on this, you guys are the best and thanks to the fabulous Anna from Pear & Bear Photography for all my amazing pics as usual!
