Proposal accepted. Wedding planning time.
We all have our different ideas about what our perfect wedding will entail, and, you’ve probably already put a lot of thought into it. Well, if you’d like a few quirky ideas to steal in addition- these five have got you covered!
1 . Photo Booth
Hiring a photo booth can be an excellent quirky addition to any wedding. Perhaps you’ve tried one before at a work office party? There are some seriously great companies out there for this sort of thing, providing a range of gorgeous boutique or vintage style themes. It’s not all strictly cheesy props (unless you like that sort of thing)! There are many high-end style photo booths to be found that could make an awesome addition to your special day.

2. Oversized games
What could be better at a wedding than some oversized fun and games? Hire yourself a giant chessboard, or a huge Jenga game? Or what about a huge scrabble board or a life-sized Connect 4? There are plenty of companies that sell oversized games to buy or hire, so if that’s your thing, you’ll be having fun in no time. If you buy one, it could even make a great addition to your garden- who’s for year-long giant chess?
3. Petting zoo
Animal lovers can hire mobile petting zoos for their weddings, just when you thought the day couldn’t get any more fairy tale- here come some cute and furry friends to join in the fun! Petting zoos are a great draw for kids and adults alike at a wedding, plus they make for some truly awesome pictures. There may not be many other occasions where it’s acceptable to hire a petting zoo- so you best go all out!
4. Enchanted forest
If your wedding venue has an outdoor space, why not set up an enchanted forest style area in the trees? Think fairy lights, trees decorated with ribbons and bunting, hammocks and magical props like cauldrons or potion bottles. Then, add some cute vintage furniture for people to chill on. You could have areas for guests to help you decorate the trees and make the whole thing fun and interactive.
5. Memory box
Set up an massive box and put some paper and pens by its side. You can ask your guests to write fun and memories of you and the groom on the paper and then post them into the box. Renting a fake postbox for this could be another unique prop, but if not, a regular decorative box will do just fine.
Remember, this is your special day to make it count- so if you’ve a desire- now’s the chance to turn it into a reality. Whether you want a boho wedding or something formal, it’s all about the planning. Call upon your friends to help you to think of any other ideas that could be just perfect. Often, our loved ones have a few nifty ideas up their sleeves!
