The Four Key Ingredients For Having a Fun Wedding

A wedding day is primarily about the life long commitment, right? But a wedding should also be about the fun. If you’re going to gather all your friends and family to get together, then it’s important to ensure they have a memorable time for all the right reasons. Let’s take a look at a few tried and tested tips that’ll make your wedding party one to remember for all the right reasons.

1. The Guestlist

It’s your wedding. You can invite who you want. Now, I know that there can be internal family politics that have to be managed carefully. There’ll be some relatives that you’ll positively have to invite. But random people in the office or friends of friends? If you don’t know them so well, or you suspect that they’re not all that much fun, then don’t lose too much sleep over leaving them off the guest list. Ultimately, it’s the guests that make the wedding. If you love them all and know that they’re a fun bunch, then it’ll be a great day.

2. Bring the Party

The wedding ceremony is the beautiful part of the day; the party is the fun part. After everyone has eaten a meal, they’ll be keen to let loose and dance the night away. So make sure that that’s just what they’re able to do. Look at hiring a live band for an hour to get the party started. From there, it’ll be up to your DJ hire to keep everyone on the dancefloor. If you sense that some people may be a little shy about busting out the moves, then make some inflatable microphones and instruments available — you’ll find that people are more willing to get on the dancefloor when they’ve got a prop in their hand. They’re not my taste but I have been to parties and weddings with them in and they do create a lot of fun!

3. Keep The Fun Going

Everyone’s ready to have a long night of partying when they’re at a wedding but sometimes some logistical matters get in the way. For example, if they’ve got to look after a young child, then they won’t be as care-free as they could. For this, there’s an easy solution: hire a communal babysitter! It’ll allow your friends to fully commit to the party, safe in the knowledge that their son or daughter is being looked after. The other thing that may stop the party is tiredness. You can’t blame people for that — it’s not easy to go all night long on the dance floor. Look at putting together a chill out zone, where people can just sit and chat when they need a break.

4. Fun Atmosphere

Finally, remember that you’re not just setting up a wedding that your guests will enjoy. You should enjoy it too! Be sure to be present and not to over stress on the big day. It’ll allow you to take in the whole experience, which will go by in a blur if you’re not careful!
