AD – Collaboration with Cibes Lift
You know I am all about the luxury home vibes and planning crazy dream homes full of concrete floors and extensions. Let’s face it, I love houses, property, interiors, other people’s homes – the lot!
I will watch interiors programme after interiors programme and I won’t stop. Dream Home Makeover, anything George Clarke does even Selling Sunset and Million Dollar Beach House – I just want to see houses! I mean, even give me some old school Changing Rooms or 60 Minute Makeover. I’m there. I even started watching Instant Hotel because I couldn’t get enough of just residential homes, I had to start on the Airbnb market!
I’ve spoken about concrete floors and glass balustrades before and you guys know I love to document my before and after interior design adventures. What’s next on the dream house scale? Let’s talk lifts.
Imagine having a fully functional luxury hotel-style lift in your house? This would be so amazing if you’ve got the space and the need to have one, right? Let’s think about how helpful a lift would be with having kids, moving a buggy or pushchair or pram around. How about carrying up expensive and heavy pieces of furniture when you move house or redecorate? Or, even carrying up shopping bags from a garage into the house and so much more – I could go on!

You could even future-proof your home with a stylish wheelchair lift. Having a lift installed outside could also make your garden and outside space more accessible to guests or family members with mobility issues. Installing a lift could mean reducing the need to move to a bungalow in the future, too. Other accessibility ideas for luxury homes could be adding wider corridors, countertops, desks and dining tables that can rise up and down.
Adding lifts to your home could even help add accessibility between rooms that you may have not thought about before such as between the kitchen and an upstairs bathroom or bedroom. You never know what accessibility you’ll need until it’s very important, so if you’re planning a huge renovation (I wish!), why not start planning for the future now if you’re in your forever home. You never know how handy a lift will come in!
