5 Dresses for Autumn Winter Wedding Guests

Dressing for a wintery wedding can be really tricky. I’ve got one coming up and I’m battling with some ideas of what to wear so I thought I’d share some of my favourite pieces on the high street at the moment.

First up is this River Island High Neck 70s Midi which is amazing – look at these 70s colours! I think it’s perfect for a wintery wedding because of the long sleeves the length. You could even layer a thin top or a body underneath for extra warmth if you’re worried about not being cosy enough throughout the day – especially if it’s a church wedding, these can get chilly. Or, if you’re outside for a lot of photos and you don’t want to be bundled up in your coat all day, a long sleeved dress is a great shout to keep you warm as you can hide a little layer underneath without ruining your outfit.

All of these choices have long sleeves and are midi-length because this has to be essential for a cold-weather wedding. Next up, this Whistles Multicolour Flowing Tiger Dress has a stunning print and also looks great with ankle boots which is another must for a wedding in the middle of winter. Snow and rain on your toes? No thank you! This Whistles dress would also look lovely with a biker jacket or a black blazer or classic overcoat for added warmth.

Bang in the middle is this stunning Never Fully Dressed Emmy Midi Dress which is very jazzy and would be perfect for a late autumn wedding where you could still wear some open toed sandals. But, it could also look fabulous with a big faux fur coat over the top for retro glamour.

Another River Island beauty in this line up is this Pink Animal Print Midi which would look fantastic with red, pink, black or white shoes which makes it really versatile. Another fab one to throw a biker jacket over the top, too. Finally, the ASOS Design Khaki Wrap Dress* is a really pretty bridesmaid dress as well as wedding guest dress and would look lovely with metallic or black shoes.
