Beauty & Skincare: Boots Haul

I’ve not done a haul post in a while so I thought I’d share a few bits I picked up in Boots that I’ve either been wanting to repurchase for a while or wanted to try out. I suppose it’s not really a haul if it’s only 4 things but still!

Hydraluron from Indeed Labs
This is such a hyped product, I’m sure you’ve read about it a million times before but I loved it when I had it originally and really saw a difference in my skin when I stopped using it when I ran out so I’m so glad that I picked this up in Boots the other day, a third off too! Get me back to lovely skin with 1000x more moisture, yeeees.

MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick – Blankety

I have been a rubbish beauty blogger, I haven’t ever had a MAC lipstick. This is my first ever one and I love it. I’m not a massive lipstick wearer, but I wanted to try and make an effort and wear a more everyday lipstick to try and polish up my look a little bit. I was looking at Freckletone, which is a gorgeous nude but it didn’t stand out on my lips enough as they’re quite pink already. I wanted something with a bit more coverage and pigment and so went for this Amplified Creme beauty in Blankety. I have a post coming up with me wearing this with a cheeky little complimentary gloss!

Fashion: Whistles Jewellery

Whistles is one of my favourite brands, they just seem to get it right for me every time, their clean lines and punchy prints are just gorgeous and their pieces are always cut beautifully.
But, confession, I haven’t actually bought anything from Whistles. Until now. They’re slightly out of my student price range unfortunately but a girl can dream right? Alas, the dream came true on Sunday afternoon when I spied the infamous red letters on the window of the store. S A L E. Utt-ooohhh! There goes all my un-disposable income.

Nicki Minaj Pink Friday Eau de Toilette

I’m definitely a closet Nicki Minaj fan. There, I’ve said it. I pretty much love her. She’s hilarious and I do really like her music, especially her early Young Money stuff when she wasn’t all over David Guetta. Anyway, I’m not on the other hand, usually a fan of celeb fragrances, they either all smell the same, I’m looking at you Britney, or are just made because they know it’ll sell ridiculously fast – hi, One Direction.

Hair: Batiste XXL Volume Dry Shampoo Review

Image

Another hair post this week! Dry shampoo is one of my staple hair styling products, but this one has disappointed me! I hate to say this because I do like Batiste hair products normally, I’ve bought their normal dry shampoo for years but this one, I think because of the XXLness of this product it makes your hair feel really thick and sticky and horrible! I mean, I’m going to use it up because I’ve bought it but I won’t be buying this one again. I’ll buy the normal dry shampoo again but this one was horrible! It didn’t make my hair feel fresh at all, just sticky and full of residue. Not the idea of a dry shampoo at all! The only nice thing about this is the smell, it does smell lovely.

Hair: L'Oreal Preference High Shine Elixir Colourant

At the moment, and for the foreseeable future, I am brunette. I have been for a few years now and I think dark is definitely my friend. I’ve been probably every hair colour under the sun and I like being dark. I’m not loyal, however, to any hair dye. I’m naturally brunette, but a much lighter version than I dye it. This was my latest encounter into hair dye. L’Oreal Preference High Shine Elixir.

Lifestyle: Lunch & a wander

I haven’t done a lifestyle post for ages but I had a really lovely Sunday last weekend. Mr Friday & I had Sunday lunch at The Rose Cottage in Rufford, Nottinghamshire. Just over the road from Rufford Park in which we had a super cute little walk round the chilly grounds. Now, down to the important bit, I’m picky about my Sunday dinners because my daddy makes the, absolute ridiculously incredible roast dinners. They are literally the best, no question.

Fashion: Pretty Polly for Virgin Atlantic

Guest Post Monday again! This is a lovely little press release for Pretty Polly about their new collaboration with Virgin Atlantic, I think it’s great that they’re creating tights to support hard working legs. I didn’t realise that being on your feet all day could cause such problems. I also love these visuals, Virgin Atlantic are so glam!

Fashion: Urban Outfitters #Nottingham Opening! #UONottingham

Image

So the day so many Nottingham city dwellers have been waiting for happened on Thursday. Urban Outfitters in the Victoria Centre opened! Yaaaaay. And it is huge! Absolutely massive with a ghost staircase leading downstairs to even more indie and edgy goodness. I was invited along to the Press & Blogger opening in the morning, massively grateful as I didn’t really fancy fighting my way through the crowds in the evening. Here are a few sneaky snaps of the day.
