I haven’t done one of these for a while so I thought I’d do an updated post on the contents of my makeup bag! I love reading these posts so if anyone has any then feel free to send them my way! I’ve got some old favourites in here and some fairly new additions that I’ve been loving recently. It’s also a mixture of both high street (drug store) products and some more expensive bits, they’re just what I’ve been using on the regular at the moment. If you’ve tried any of these products or love them as much as I do, leave me a comment and let me know.
Tidying up is never anyone’s favourite thing to do. Unless you’re off Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners. Now, I love that programme and it does always make me want to clean everything in sight but I wouldn’t say I’m that crazy about my cleaning. I like things to be clean and tidy of course but if I forget to hoover it’s not going to bring me out in a rash.
Clarins’ new summer makeup collection – Colours of Brazil is simply beautiful. The packaging is so pretty with the aztec pattern on top of the bronzer and the eye shadow palette it really gives it something extra. I love the fact that the eyeshadows themselves are embossed too, it gives such a lovely touch. The gem in this palette is the gorgeous peach coloured eye shadow, something that I would never have thought of wearing before! Previously I would have always avoided anything that was vaguely pink near my eyes but this in the inner corners of the eyes creates a gorgeous look. Paired with the two taupe and deep brown shadows on the left hand side in a smokey eye this looks amazing.
Lacock is one of my most favourite places ever, it’s situated a 10 minute drive away from my parent’s house and it’s so pretty that it’s been used for films such as Harry Potter and Pride & Prejudice! We went for an hour’s walk around it the other day whilst I was at home and had some tea and a little sit down. Here’s a photo diary of the visit!
If anything’s going to brighten up a windy and dull day, it’s a beautifully wrapped and goody filled box from Boots! This is a gorgeous little summer themed box filled with holiday themed sunshine inducing goodies! In here, there is some gorgeous Vita Liberata Phenomenal 2-3 Week Self Tanner. This is supposed to give you perfect fade and no patches! I can’t wait to use this and I’m going to do a review when I’ve used it because I am a huge fake tan fan and really hope this is going to be the perfect one for me! They also sent a mitt to go with it.
Thierry Mugler – Alien is a really familiar scent to me as my best friend wears it. I love it and whenever anyone walks past me wearing it, I think about her! So shout out to you, H!
Angel, is the counterpart, the first Thierry Mugler perfume and sister fragrance in the range to Alien. The bottle is beautiful and it’s such a pretty night-time scent. I think it’s best left for the evening as for me, personally, it smells quite rich. They say, that it has a ‘celestial top of bergamot and helional with a heart of fruit and honey and a passionate base of vanilla, chocolate and caramel’.
You know when you enter a million RT to win Twitter Competitions and don’t ever think you’ll win but get insanely jealous of people that always seem to win!? That’s definitely me and whenever I see a little Twitter comp I think why not enter, it takes two seconds and you’ve got to be in it to win it, right? Anyway I recently won a John & Ginger Twitter competition and got my hands on this fab Suki Face Exfoliating Foaming Cleanser worth nearly £30. I was of course, pretty excited when I won but I hadn’t actually heard of the brand or the product until then, I didn’t actually realise I’d entered, probably do so many that they just wash over me!
I’ve been after this lip pencil for months now, I’ve wanted the perfect orangey red lipstick for so long and just couldn’t find what I wanted on the high-street which was making me frustrated! I was buying lipsticks and they just weren’t right, so I’d buy another one, telling myself I couldn’t afford the NARS one, but after all if I buy the perfect one I won’t need to buy any more, right?! Well this is the plan. Come back to me in a month when I’ve bought 3 new lipsticks…
Great interview with an up & coming Brit actor ready to hit the big time. Read it so you can say you knew about him before he was famous.
This has to be my new favourite moisturiser, perfect for my skin type, sinks in easily and doesn’t leave me feeling greasy. This little beauty is specifically formulated for oily skin and leaves it lovely and matte ready for your favourite primer to pop on top. Why not give it a go? It’s currently only £8 in Boots, not £12!
