Whenever Orla Kiely brings out a new collaboration range with Clarks the little retro-loving part of me comes alive and all I want to do is wear A-line dresses and cute collars. The newest addition to my (pretty insane) shoe collection are the Orla ‘Beryl’ platform leather beauties! I love the detail on them, the flowers, the printed sole, everything. Plus, the leather is really soft so they’ll be quite comfortable I hope. How pretty will these look in the summer for fancy parties or weddings? All I need now is a fancy party to go to. Invites in the post please! Stay tuned for outfit posts galore. These shoes deserve killer outfits, right?
Clarks X Orla Kiely AW Collaboration
The ‘Queen of Prints’ Orla Kiely is on for her second collaboration with classic British footwear brand and one of my personal favourites – Clarks. This capsule collection of six shoe styles for the Autumn Winter season is synonymous of the 60s and 70s, fueled by colour and chunky style and the attention to detail is absolutely amazing. The collection was previewed at London Fashion Week in February ’14 and is perfect for the vintage/retro lover going into the colder months. Here’s a snapshot of the whole capsule collection, all of the styles come in at least two different colour-ways.
Clarks AW14 Loafers
I know, I know, it’s the middle of summer but my brain is already on AW14 and Clarks have just made this heat even more unbearable, I just want to wear these beautiful loafers every day! These are the latest addition to my shoe wardrobe and I am loving them so much. I’ve been after the perfect pair of black loafers for years and these have really hit the nail on the head. They’re chunky, without being overly Doc Marten about it, which isn’t my style and they’re boyish without looking like you’ve borrowed your dad’s shoes. They’re shiny and beautiful, sturdy and amazing quality. These are a surefire winner in my AW wardrobe, I just know it. I know they’ll look fab with trousers, jeans and also with little 60s style dresses and tights which is a favourite look of mine for the winter time. They also come in a tan leather and a patent green leather which are also gorgeous. Perfect, personified in loafers, that’s what these are. I just need to break them in.
