We headed down to Wagamama at the Cornerhouse, Nottingham on a recent Friday evening. All ready and raring to try out some of their dishes that are either new or refreshed for the summer! I’m a huge Wagamama fan anyway so I jumped at the chance of a date night at one of my most loved places to eat. I try to have something new every time I go to Wagamama because there’s so much choice.
Treats, sweets and chocolate don’t have to be seasonal. You can definitely have them all year round (I mean every day) if you want them! Obviously, some people will just say “duh” and eat it anyway. This post probably isn’t for you. This post is for people that think that chocolate and cakes are ‘fattening’, bad for you and generally a once in a blue moon thing. Totally not the case. They’re obviously full of sugar and aren’t packed with vitamins but if they keep you sane in small quantities then they’re totally fine and I think, essential.
‘Diet’ desserts are usually pretty dire, am I right? I mean we all know fruit salad isn’t a dessert and yoghurt and berries just don’t cut it sometimes. Don’t get me wrong, I love my yoghurt and berries and a bit of dark chocolate but sometimes you just need something that is tasty and artificially sweet (in a good way!). That cake or ice-cream sweet is hard to beat if you’re running on pure cravings so I like to find puddings that are in no way clean eating but don’t break the calorie bank. Treats like these are hard to find!
Snuggling down for Bake Off in the winter is never the same without a sweet treat, is it? Sometimes a biscuit or a couple of squares of dark chocolate isn’t enough and I feel like I need a proper homemade feeling pudding. Step in my amazing new discovery of Dr Oetker Pud In A Mug Sponge Puds! You must know all about the ‘mug cake’ trend, right? Well, these are mug cakes without the faff of actual ingredients and with a surefire guarantee that it’ll work every time!
