A super quick interiors based post this weekend, babes. Can we just talk about this gorgeous chair in the main image? These Oyster chairs are less than £80 and they’re from Sue Ryder online. I’m getting straight to the point. Yep, the charity shop. These guys are upping their game and ‘charity’ is not the first thing that comes to mind when I think Sue Ryder. I walk past the Nottingham branch every day, twice a day, on my way to and from work and seriously, it has some awesome window styling and their stock is always on point.
When it comes to cute prints for my home and buying cards for birthdays and other occasions to give to my bestest I always love to grab them from independent artists, illustrators and all round creative amazing people that are just doing their thing and making incredible goods!
I wanted to share a small selection of some that I love on Instagram and some I’ve bought from in the past so can vouch for their amazing quality. Leave me more recommendations for cute Etsy shops and illustrators in the comments, I always love to discover newbies.
When it comes to home décor, flooring matters, it takes up a significant percentage of the surface area of any room, obviously! Everyone always notices the floor, even if they’re not aware of the fact that they do.
The floor you choose really sets the tone. It can also have a huge impact on how spacious a room feels. If you are decorating and want to make it feel larger, here are a few tricks!
Two things that I’ve been loving recently: the whole 10 series of Friends now being on Netflix and wearing tea dresses layered over roll necks. But seriously, who else has totally binged watched Friends this month? Life changing.
This cute dress trend caught my eye a few months ago when it sprung up but I honestly couldn’t find any that weren’t too short or too low-cut for my preference in the summer and autumn months when they were most prominent. I just don’t have the confidence to be all out when I’m not on holiday or in beach wear! I always find that I think I can’t wear a specific trend or style until I find my way of styling it up or the right piece.
Inspiration is a huge thing to me. But, there are so many things that people demonise these days like Instagram, the internet and hashtags like #inspo because they’re bad for people’s self confidence. I totally agree that it goes too far sometimes but I think that Instagram and Pinterest especially can be amazing for motivation and inspiration for yourself!
Adidas Stan Smiths have been a style staple on Pinterest, Instagram and the streets for a couple of years now and they don’t seem to be hiding away at the back of the wardrobe any time soon. I mean, if they’re good enough for Victoria Beckham, they’re good enough for me! I wear mine at least once a week and really want to get my hands on some new ones so I find them really versatile and easy to wear. Here are 8 different ways to style them that I’m loving.
Just recently I’ve been feeling a little overwhelmed and a teeny bit uninspired so I’ve decided to take a week and then my up coming city break this weekend to have a step back from the blog and get super inspired again. Time to get my mojo back!
There’s been so much happening recently in my little world that it’s been difficult to focus. Fortunately I know a couple of things that help me when I’m feeling a bit lost and I’m definitely going to make sure I do these so I can come back to my blog feeling fresh in a week or so!
Wedding planning is one of those things that all girls dream about for years and years and I’ve been a keen Pinterest-er for a while now, just collection images that I like, inspiration and other bits and bobs just to keep in stock for when that day happens. Sceptics think it’s being premature and it’s a bit weird! But I think it’s totally OK to just grab photos and keep them all together for when that day comes. You need to be able to visualise what you like and what’s available to you! So, that’s why I’ve put together a tiny post about three of the best websites (who all have apps!) that are great for wedding planning and I hope someone finds them useful!
Over the Bank Holiday weekend we tackled the next room of our house, decorating wise, our bedroom. Here are a few before photos, showing our room, warts and all with the grubby green colour. I think green is definitely now my least favourite colour after sleeping in this monstrosity for a few months. Right now, I never want to see another tin of paint again but there’s still more to do until we’re perfect!
