If you know me well you’ll know that I’m definitely more National Trust than night clubs and it’s been this way for a little while! We absolutely love the National Trust as you might have read in my post a few weeks ago about our first trip to Calke Abbey – we try to go at least once a month but recently because the weather’s been so gorgeous we’ve been getting out to a few every month which is awesome.
Who doesn’t love a little picnic in the sunshine? We’ve had a National Trust membership for about 6 or 7 months now and we’ve been loving exploring new places. It’s the perfect way to get out and about basically for free (after you’ve paid your monthly membership) and all of the sites are amazing. We pay £9 a month for both of us and that includes unlimited access to most National Trust sites including parking. Some of the places that we’ve visited have been priced at around £10 an adult to get in plus parking so we always feel like we get our money’s worth. Plus, even if you don’t manage to get to one a month, by paying the membership fee you’re helping to preserve amazing places like Lacock Abbey.
FUN, FREE OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES ON OFFER TO THOUSANDS OF NOTTINGHAM RESIDENTS WITH THE RETURN OF PARKLIVES
I’m partnering with Coca-ColaGreat Britain on this post and their awesome ParkLives initiative. For a third year, more than 25 parks across Nottingham will be hosting hundreds of free activity sessions to get us fit for summer. From Pilates to Nordic Walking and even paddle board (SUP) Yoga there is literally something for everyone of every ability – even buggy fitness for all those mamas out there.
Slightly late on the ol’ New Year’s Resolutions but I’m not really a resolution’s type of gal, I’m more of a have an idea and try your best person. I feel like if I set a proper resolution, I’m more than likely going to pack it in but if I try and change my lifestyle a little bit at a time, it’s a touch easier to stay on track.
