As you probably know, I love a bit of interior design, Pinterest and shopping for homewares. You can check out our living room before and after if you fancy taking a nose around our home. I wanted to share three of my favourite styles for a little bit of interiors inspiration in case you’re decorating or looking for some style inspiration that isn’t ‘all grey everything’. As much as I love a grey haven it’s not the style I go for in my own home. Ours is a mix of these three styles as I like to take little bits of styles that I like and mix them all together.

Vintage bar carts and drinks dressers are super popular at the moment and we’ve wanted to add one to our dining room since we moved in. We found a lovely one for £25 in a local vintage/retro shop and then picked up some awesome marble sticky back plastic for less than a tenner on eBay. This is the sticky back plastic that we used but there are loads of others on eBay and in DIY stores etc.

This could be 5 ways to save for anything but seeing as I’m a part fashion blogger and I’ve forever got a basket full of saved items on ASOS I thought I’d focus this post on saving for new clothes! The new season is almost here again, I was reading a magazine the other day and they were talking about faux fur – it was like 27 degrees outside – it’s crazy. But, before we know it we’ll be digging out our roll-neck sweaters and ankle boots once more as autumn appears.
Let’s get down to the saving tips!

I’ve been filling up my Interior Design & Decor board on Pinterest with a load of new inspiration for a new summery update for the house. I love contemporary furniture with a little mix of retro. I had a bit of a shelf re-jig a few month back and loved the yellow of the daffodils next to the green lamp. We have a few yellow accents around our living room and bedroom already so I thought I’d do some Pinterest stalking and find some more yellow inspiration. Check out the Assi Walnut Coffee Table in the middle from Danetti, how great would that look with a funky lamp and a plant on it?

Whenever Orla Kiely brings out a new collaboration range with Clarks the little retro-loving part of me comes alive and all I want to do is wear A-line dresses and cute collars. The newest addition to my (pretty insane) shoe collection are the Orla ‘Beryl’ platform leather beauties! I love the detail on them, the flowers, the printed sole, everything. Plus, the leather is really soft so they’ll be quite comfortable I hope. How pretty will these look in the summer for fancy parties or weddings? All I need now is a fancy party to go to. Invites in the post please! Stay tuned for outfit posts galore. These shoes deserve killer outfits, right?

Today’s post is all about some online gems that I love to scour when I’m after vintage and retro pieces or just to pass the time! I hope you like them. First up is We Are Cow – this is an amazing vintage & retro shop and online store. I’m lucky enough to have one on my doorstep in Nottingham but they also have stores in Manchester, Birmingham & Sheffield. Luke and I often pop in for a browse when we’re in town, it’s such a cool shop. I’ve picked three of my favourite pieces that they’ve had new in online recently to share with you guys. I love this blue denim midi skirt, this digital print boxy dress and this polka dot jumpsuit.

Over the Bank Holiday weekend we tackled the next room of our house, decorating wise, our bedroom. Here are a few before photos, showing our room, warts and all with the grubby green colour. I think green is definitely now my least favourite colour after sleeping in this monstrosity for a few months. Right now, I never want to see another tin of paint again but there’s still more to do until we’re perfect!

This is the little place that is going to be keeping up so busy for the next few weeks, perhaps months! It’s a lovely little terrace but it needs some serious TLC. We’re talking full on paint job and a lot of filler. So I’m hoping to do a few before, during and after photos for a little interiors series! Here’s a pic heavy post of the damage that needs repairing, ha! But we hope to have it up and running really soon and turn it into our beautiful first home.
