Of all the cities in Canada, the one that you can’t go through life without visiting at least once is Toronto. It’s a social and artistic hub, brimming with life and endless things for you to spend your time doing. It’s the kind of place that you’ll be glad you spent time in, and when your trip draws to a close, you probably won’t be too keen to leave it behind. But what should you spend your time doing and seeing when you’re there? It’s time to find out, so read on.
After a crazy week which involved no blogging at all we headed to Lincoln for what we hoped would be a sunny, spring-like cute day out. Unfortunately, it ended up being -2 and snowing but it was still lovely to visit somewhere new and having some time out. I love checking out new cities in the UK that we haven’t been to before and it was even nicer to just travel somewhere just for the day. Lincoln is only 55 minutes from Nottingham on the train and the train station is literally around the corner from the town centre.
Here goes the last blog post of February – where’s the time gone? This one is all about my number one babe, brunch. Brunch is serious stuff in Berlin and that’s what I like to hear! Brunch is *probably* my favourite food group and I am all about breakfast food at any time of the day. When we headed to Berlin we were really excited about the coffee culture and the tasty brunch treats. Here are my fave three destinations that we hit up whilst we were in the German capital.
Heading away on city breaks is one of my favourite things, I love to see new cities and cultures. We plan our city breaks around food, I won’t lie to you! I’m a massive foodie and finding little gems in new cities is so much fun. I wanted to share three of my finds from Krakow in Poland because they were seriously good. These are all dinner places as Krakow was less of the brunch and coffee scene and more dinner and beers.
Travel beauty is something that I find really exciting because everything is super cute and teeny! We’re off to Berlin & Krakow in a few weeks for my birthday so I am all about the travel tips if you’ve got them please. Here are a few of the products that I’ll definitely be taking away with us for our trip. Some are new finds and some are old favourites that I always pick up when we go away. Let me know in the comments if you have any travel beauty posts or recommendations!
If you’ve seen my ‘why I want to move to Leeds‘ or 24h in London posts then you’ll know that we like to check out cities in the UK that we don’t live in! I just think it’s great to know your way around as many cities as you can because, why not? You never know what opportunities will arise and it’s cool to get to know other places just in case! This weekend we headed to Birmingham for the Christmas market to kick off the festive season.
Work/life balance has been a bit crazy recently but it definitely has some really great perks. I’ve been having to travel to London a few times a week recently and luckily, one of these trips happened to fall on a Friday which was super close to one of my oldest friends’ birthdays so I stopped for the weekend and for her birthday brunch!
Notts has got a lot of things associated with it, from Robin Hood to lace and mr Boots himself (all hail the king of highstreet beauty, am I right?) to crazy things like calling people duck and bacon rolls cobs. It is a cob, by the way. I’m 100% a Nottingham girl now and a cob shop is one of the best inventions ever – hands down.
