The ‘Queen of Prints’ Orla Kiely is on for her second collaboration with classic British footwear brand and one of my personal favourites – Clarks. This capsule collection of six shoe styles for the Autumn Winter season is synonymous of the 60s and 70s, fueled by colour and chunky style and the attention to detail is absolutely amazing. The collection was previewed at London Fashion Week in February ’14 and is perfect for the vintage/retro lover going into the colder months. Here’s a snapshot of the whole capsule collection, all of the styles come in at least two different colour-ways.

My favourite shoe from the collection is in fact a boot, the Orla Daphne Boots! A beautiful pony effect leather Chelsea boot. This style also comes in a gorgeous Oxblood colour but I think that the black is just so classic and versatile. I love the texture change between the toe-cap and the rest of the boots, I think it really gives them something extra. I’ve styled a little outfit that I’d love to wear with these boots.
I’ve kept this outfit monochrome to tie in with the Sixties theme and it’s also my favourite colour-way at the moment and massively on trend for AW14. The colour pop of red of the nails is just a little guilty pleasure of mine, red nails always make me feel glam in that 50s way. White jeans give a modern edge to the look and I’d roll them up so they were just above the boots for that ‘effortless’ look. Stripes are a staple of mine, a classic from the Sixties and will forever be my favourite!
