Unboxing #BootsBeautyBox: The Hair Edition

The #BootsBeautyBox is here again! This time, it’s a hair styling special and it’s a pretty exciting box.

First of all, I’m a huge Batiste fan, I’ve tried a lot of dry shampoos and I always go back to them purely because the price is great for the wicked job their dry shampoo does so I was excited to try the Batiste Stylist Oomph My Locks XXL Volume Spray. I’m a fan of texture and volumizing powders so I was interested in this product as occasionally I find I can be a little heavy handed with the powders and things can get messy! I like this spray as it’s easier to control than powders but I don’t think it lasts as long. It definitely adds serious texture though so I might just have to pop a little more in, I’m probably being too cautious!

Next up is the classic L’Oreal Elnett Satin Hairspray, this is obviously a good product as it’s super popular and does exactly what you need it to without making your hair go crunchy like some firm hold hairsprays can do. I’m not a fan of the smell of it though so I probably wouldn’t pick it up again. BUT on the total flip side, I’m a little bit obsessed with the TreSemme Make Waves Creation Hairspray because this smells amazing. It’s got a lovely scent and really helps to keep curls and waves in check. I love to curl my hair, it’s probably my most worn style but I find that usually drops out quite quickly. You spray this product onto your hair before you use your curling iron or straighteners to create your curls and it holds really well. It doesn’t leave things sticky or crunchy either, this is a winner for me!

Two products I’ve not got round to trialling yet are the Umberto Giannini Curl Friends Scrunching Jelly and the Toni & Guy Style Spray Wax but I’ll let you know as soon as I do! I think the scrunching jelly will be a great summer holiday product to help with those beach waves.

Finally, I knew the L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil would be a great product, I currently use a salon brand for my oil but I now know that the quality won’t be compromised for my hair if I wanted to switch to a cheaper alternative. I use a hair oil everytime I wash my hair so they’re definitely a staple in my routine.
