AD – Gifted Products from Ornatus
I’m introducing our new living room to you guys today in a little ad with a gifted product from rug company Ornatus. You know how much I love interiors content on this blog, it’s one of my most popular topics and buying a new house just means a whole new interiors journey.
I’ve actually added the Rightmove pics from our house when we bought it below so you can see what it was like when we moved in. Minus the fireplace as this had already been removed.
Our old living room was sage green and we loved it. We had a very eclectic style in there with lots of wood and animal print cushions and our travel themed prints. We wanted to go for a slightly different vibe with this house as it already had the curtains, curtain poles and the carpets and of course the wall colour.
We weren’t sure when we first viewed the photos as the previous owner’s style was quote country-chic with the checked sofa and lots of wooden furniture. This isn’t our style so we thought we’d have to repaint the walls and change the curtains at least but I actually think we’ve made it really work with our furniture.
Our sideboard was originally in our dining room but we had to get something to put our TV on as it wouldn’t work on the wall like we used to have it:
We also had a re-jig with some furniture too like the shelving unit that was in our dining room previously. We’re loving the neutral vibes in this room and we’re going for pale pinks, beige, neutral and grey. We chose the Asiatic Rocco Cream Arrow rug from Ornatus to set off the room and our old La Redoute rug will be relegated to our bedroom once that’s decorated with this plan that I popped a moodboard up for here.
We added some new pieces to this room as well as the new rug and kept lots of the same things too. The same grey sofa, the same TV and coffee table and some of the same prints. This is the pink velvet sofa that we bought from eBay. We also added new blinds from Luna Blinds.
