What I Spend In A Week Money Diary

A little late to the party on this one, I can’t remember whether it was post-pay day or not so it’s just a week that I recorded and had a look back on when I found my diary again!

Friday

Post lockdown hair day! My treatment was gifted by the amazing team at SAKS in Newark, check out my first review of them and head to Instagram for my Reels from this visit too. I did buy some products though and spent £49.90 on Kerastase shampoo & conditioner (I got a free gift with purchase which was an amazing diffuser too!) plus my parking was £2.30. Head home to look after F and spend the afternoon with a very glam activity of jet washing our grass and weeding our front garden!

Saturday

£3.99 goes out for Quickbooks – my expenses/invoices tracking for blog and freelance work.

Head out to get my nails done, this is just £12 as I won a competition with Bethany Joy before the pandemic even started for 6 half price nails sessions and we’re still working our way through them! Stop at Wickes on the way home to pick up paint for our downstairs loo makeover which is £20.90 with some Frog Tape too.

We head to Fat Hippo for a meal with a gift card that was gifted to me for a review, spend £10.50 over this – split between us. Parking £3, also split. We didn’t love this meal, it felt over-fried and like everything tasted the same but I was grateful for the opportunity to go and try it out.

Sunday
Pop to have lunch in my grandad’s garden and go to the pet shop for some tooth brush chews for F – £5.83

Sell a dress on Depop – £25 but obviously pay PayPal fees so it’s £23.97 that comes to me and will pay £3.20 postage too. I think this weekend had fee seller fees so saved £2.50 on those bad boys. £20.77 profit after everything.

Monday
Also sell a bunch of stuff on eBay so shell out £11 for the postage labels

Tuesday
Head to the Post Office for all of my parcels and end up in B&M spending £2.59 on snacks – Tuc crackers and BBQ sauce! Get my £31.45 into the account from eBay. I also did a Matalan order on this evening which was £41 but I’ve actually had a refund for everything because I ordered house bits and they were all smashed or dented so I won’t count this.

Wednesday

Start the day with £5 towards a colleagues gift, also put £5 in savings pot for Luke’s birthday for September. I chip away at it slowly and then I don’t have such a big chunk to pay in one go for whatever I get him, usually a trip somewhere nice.  I also spend £9.66 on a Clearpay payment for a faux plant for my office that I bought a few weeks ago. Receive another £25 from eBay, sometimes it comes through in dribs and drabs!

Spend £28 on an amazing gingham ASOS playsuit I was *influenced* to buy but I’ve worn it twice since this purchase a few weeks ago so I think it was a good buy.

Thursday
Get another £6.85 from eBay come through for a random sale and don’t spend anything. I had a clear out of my summer stuff and decided to sell a load of stuff that I knew I wouldn’t wear this year, lots of jumpsuits and little tops that aren’t my style anymore. I’ve made a good chunk in this month which was super handy for house-related savings and my Luke birthday and Christmas pots!

Total spend: £155.12

Sales on eBay / Depop: £84.07

Giftcard for Fat Hippo: £30
