Review: Hart Shoreditch Hotel

A hotel review? What is this, 2019? I know. Travels are back. Mini breaks are back. Hotel reviews are back and I’m so here for it. Recently we headed away for a trip for L’s birthday and as part of his gift I booked us a room at the Hart Shoreditch Hotel. We usually stay around Shoreditch area as we like the vibe, know our way around *roughly* and there were some restaurants that we wanted to try out in the local area.

We usually love the vibe of places like The Hoxton hotel but I’d spotted Hart on Instagram and wanted to give it a go. You’d never know that it’s part of the Hilton group of hotels but it actually is, under their Curio brand. We stayed in a Hilton a few months earlier, a standard one in Lincoln and they gave you a warm cookie on arrival – I’m actually very impressed with the brand and their sub brands to be honest with my experiences this year.

It was obviously the beautiful decor that caught my eye for the Hart hotel. This was one of their Double Corner Rooms and had an amazing bathroom, lovely king size bed, a wardrobe, great little amenities like kettle, nice sized mugs and glasses (this is one of my hotel pet peeves) and even a bath! Plus robes, slippers and a complimentary bottle of wine which was such a nice touch.

The hotel even had good light for getting ready with – and for a hotel this is saying something isn’t it?

There was a really cool Marshall amp speaker and a great system where you could connect your own device and play it through the room’s sound system too. There was even speakers in the bathroom!

Location wise, it’s super close to Old Street station and is a short walk from both Spitalfields and BoxPark in Shoreditch. It’s only around 30 mins give or take to Oxford Circus via the underground too so it’s a good location for getting around and there’s lots of nightlife near to the hotel too.

Great toiletries! Lots of fab stuff in the bathroom including a really deep tub and massive shower, double sinks and lovely hand wash and shampoos etc, none of the little minis, just full size products to use whilst you’re there which is obviously a lot less wasteful for them.

The team were all super friendly and helpful too and we especially loved Antiono and his amazing energy, he was fantastic and so helpful. We’d definitely stay in a Curio or the Hart hotel again, it was really well priced too at around £150 a night which for a London hotel in the heart of Shoreditch with this kind of spec, I was so impressed with.
