Where to eat: The Station Hotel, Hucknall

Here’s a little style of blog post I haven’t done in a while! A review of somewhere that I’ve been a paying customer in, multiple times, since we moved to Hucknall, Nottingham. We’ve lived here less than two weeks and I think we’ve been to The Station maybe four times?

5 great places to eat and drink in York

There are hundreds of amazing places to eat in York city centre, from cute little teashops to fancy wine bars and loads of your favourite chains like Byron Burger and Nando’s but these are the five places that we really loved when we visited the Northern city recently.

1. Drift-In

One of the cutest cafes in York is Drift-In, a smoothie bar and coffee shop with incredible sandwiches that’s actually attached to Fat Face. The decor is really cool, full of surf boards and bikes with a proper beachy feel whilst still feeling like it really fits well into the windy streets of York. The staff were lovely and it’s a great place to chill out and grab some lunch on a busy weekend. Read More

24 hours in Leeds; beer & bhajis

Ahhhh, Leeds. I love this place! I mentioned in my first post when we originally explored it how much I enjoyed the city. I love how it feels fairly clean, (for a big city!), the shopping is awesome, there’s tonnes of places to eat and drink – from the chains that we all know and love if you need something to rely on to awesome independent places that you can discover and love forever. Coco Vail Beer Hall Barcelona

Coco Vail is Barcelona’s first beer hall and is a seriously great place to spend a few afternoon hours during a Barcelona city break.
