If you know me, you’ll know that I love an activity. You’ll more likely find me doing crazy golf, a bottomless brunch with bingo or more recently, escape rooms instead of on a big night out. I first did an escape room about three years ago and had no idea what to expect but since then I’ve done about 5 or 6 at a range of locations and I am such a fan. They’re so fun to do with friends and family and you really learn how to work together and you’ll definitely have a laugh – I guarantee it! I love the mix of themes and stories that you can get at different escape rooms. There are two at Pieminister, the Demon Barber and Germageddon!
Penny Lane: Nottingham
Penny Lane. The newest place to open in Nottingham’s lace market. Bar, kitchen and arcade. Basically three of my favourite things in one place! I was kindly invited to check it out and for some complimentary gaming and drinks on their press and business night with a few of my blogger besties and we had such a fun time.
3 Nottingham Date Night Eats
Date night food is serious business for us and I wanted to share some of my recent favourites that have filled our bellies on dates from the past few weeks in Nottingham.
1. Bar Iberico
Crispy chicken. Those two words and you know I’m talking about tapas dreamboat Bar Iberico. This place is just delicious. They do an incredible ‘rapid menu’ where you can get bread and dipping oil and two tapas for a tenner. Perfect if you want to share with someone else and have four different dishes and bread each. It doesn’t sound a lot but you’ll definitely be full, I promise! This menu is before 6pm on a Saturday I think and it’s well worth heading there early for a bargain. You can’t book so be prepared to either wait for a table or you can sit at the bar for proper Barcelona tapas vibes.
Where To Eat In Nottingham: Ginza Teppanyaki
If you’re looking for a really different place for an extra special occasion then Ginza Teppanyaki is the place to go. Located on the Mansfield Road, in Sherwood, this unassuming Japanese restaurant is surprisingly awesome. If you’re in Nottingham and you like Japanese flavours, freshly cooked food and amazing service, I’d definitely recommend checking this place out.
