I’ve always thought that mismatched, crazy Christmas trees have so much more personality that perfect decorated, stuck to a colour theme trees. This post is short and sweet today but I just had to share the cutest Harrods Christmas decorations that I’ve added to my tree this year. I mean, how cute is Hugh the bear in ornament form? I’m also 100% obsessed with the sparkly tartan beauty and the purple, ivory and gold tear drop shaped bauble.
Christmas Lights: Why LED Is Best!
LED Christmas lights or (light emitting diodes to the clever clogs) are super energy efficient and long lasting – I mean they can last up to 25x longer than your standard incandescent light bulbs. This means you won’t have to change your fairy light lightbulbs every Christmas, a definite time saver! They’re also eco-friendly as they’re free of toxic chemicals and don’t contain mercury and other dangerous substances. LED light bulbs are also 100% recyclable and have zero UV emissions. The final plus point for LED lights is the fact that they can operate in extreme temperatures so they’ll be totally fine outside at Christmas if it does freeze over!
The Tree’s Up!
Things are getting really, really festive up in here! This weekend we went on the hunt for our Christmas tree and some awesome decorations to make our living room feel super Christmassy.
To start with we bought a real tree, just as we did last year but when we got it home and unwrapped it, it was a bit dry and bare so we had to take it back! We ventured out to Tesco and got this 4ft fake tree and actually I think it looks great. It was the only one we could find that wasn’t 6ft tall! A tree that big just wouldn’t fit in our living room.
