If you know my love for getting outdoors and visiting new places then this post won’t come as a surprise to you. I love a good walk, a nice hike and exploring the outdoors. Usually on foot, let’s be honest. I’m not much of a cyclist or a canoeist but I will walk for miles! Today I’ve got some information from the Woodland Trust all about some amazing UK woodlands to explore and get stuck into this autumn and they’re pretty breathtaking.
Where to eat vegan in Leeds – Temple Coffee & Doughnuts
Well, I say Leeds because technically it is in Leeds. But, it is not in the city centre. Only visit these guys if you’re driving or you’re going to the student-y side of Leeds anyway. Don’t take a £13 round trip in an Uber for one like we did. Doh. (Lol, just read that back, not an intentional doughnut pun, I’m just gonna leave that in there…). It was almost worth it though because these guys are insanely delicious.
6 Of The UK’s Best Street Food Markets
With the announcement that Nottingham might be getting its own street food market (yaaaas!), I thought it’d be sweet to round up some of the best street food markets and pop-ups in the UK right now. It’s safe to say that we’re definitely very excited to be getting our very own street food market because it’s something that we feel Notts has been missing for a while. We get the occasional pop-up here and there but nothing as monumental as some of the other street food markets in the UK’s other cities like Manchester and London! Here’s the run-down of the best out there at the moment…
Where To Stay In Cheltenham: Cheltenham Park Hotel
We like to get out and about in the UK, try new towns and cities and always find a new coffee shop to delve into. This weekend we stayed at the Cheltenham Park Hotel which is a huge hotel in the beautiful Cotswolds and I thought I’d tell you all about it.
The Location & Facilities
Cheltenham Park is actually located in Charlton Kings, about 2 miles drive from the centre of Cheltenham in a quiet area and only about 10 minutes from Cheltenham Racecourse. It’s a really big hotel, one of the biggest I’ve stayed in but the rooms are all great sizes. There is a gym, spa, beauty and health club facilities with a pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room. We spent some time in the well-equipped gym and the pool on Saturday afternoon which was lovely. I decided to run a 5km in addition to my Marathon In A Month that I’m doing for the British Heart Foundation and I loved running on an actual treadmill instead of the road for once!
Risley Hall Hotel & Spa Review
Here comes another hotel review for all you keen travellers! This weekend we stayed at the Risley Hall Hotel & Spa as part of a Red Letter Days gift that we received for Christmas and the hotel was so pretty I thought I’d write a little review as it’s a great location for the East Midlands.
Our Anniversary Weekend at Ox Pasture Hall Hotel
Luke and I have been together a year last weekend and we took the opportunity to vist an amazing hotel in Yorkshire called the Ox Pasture Hall Hotel, a few miles outside of Scarborough. We decided to really celebrate in style as we’ve been through a lot together in such a short time and felt like we deserved a treat!
