Yes, bargain-ous is a word. January was meant to be ‘no-spend’ month but I let myself off for a few little things and wanted to share some cute and super cheap hair accessories that I’ve spied recently! Pearl clips have been hitting up my Instagram for weeks now and I wanted to hunt one down that was really cheap because I knew I wouldn’t be wearing it year after year as it’s so trend based. Spoiler alert, these are all from eBay so if you fancy a bargain, check out the links at the end of the post.
Christmas Inspired Grilled Cheese + Win a Handmade Reclaimed Wood Serving Board
Christmas is officially a month today so I’m getting prepped by already having festive inspired sandwiches for lunch! Why not? Basically adding turkey and cranberry sauce to a standard ham and cheese toastie equals festive vibes and it is seriously tasty and exactly what’s on the menu for a weekend lunch. I’m also here to celebrate this absolutely amazing chopping board / serving board from independent online retailer, based in Devon, Vincent Trading.
Living room transformation – Before & After
Ta-da! Another room in the house reno/decoration is almost perfect. Finally, our living room feels like a living room. There’s still some finishing touches to do like glossing the skirting board but that can wait when this is what we’re working with now – as opposed to grubby carpet and just a sofa as the sole piece of furniture in the room. What do you think?
Our Dining Room Decor – Before & After Makeover
Our dining room has had a little bit of a makeover over the past month or so, we’ve been busy! Check out the horrific white box that it was before. It definitely doesn’t help that we have a white table at the moment and the carpet was almost white. This clinical box with grubby flooring is now a pretty glam, dark and dangerous dining room that I am loving.
My 10 essential iPhone apps for blogging
I love a bit of tech and fun apps so I wanted to share some of my can’t live without apps for blogging and Instagramming with you babes. Some are old favourites and are really obvious and some are new faves that I’ve only just discovered.
1. VSCO
VSCO is my go-to Instagram editing app. I find it the best for taking the warmth out of photos by using the temperature option and also I think their exposure setting is really nice too. I used to use C & G filters on my Instagram – I mix and match these because I cba with an actual theme because they seem to always look rubbish anyway even if I try. And, when I do try, I get stressed! So, I do use VSCO for Instagram cropping and editing and the occasional filter but I’ve got a new filters app to go on about in a little bit…

Hello, January! We’re into a new year and it’s time to do all those things that we’ve wanted to do for ages and for me. one of them is reading. Here are the three books that I’ll be indulging in over January, they’re all different subjects but they’re all going to be super useful.
How to be an inspiration organisation queen
Inspiration is a huge thing to me. But, there are so many things that people demonise these days like Instagram, the internet and hashtags like #inspo because they’re bad for people’s self confidence. I totally agree that it goes too far sometimes but I think that Instagram and Pinterest especially can be amazing for motivation and inspiration for yourself!
5 Of The Best Straw Bags This Summer
My summer holiday countdown is on! With only a few weeks to go I’m already planning my capsule wardrobe for the 9-10 days that I’m away for. One thing that I’ve been on the lookout for a while is the perfect straw beach bag. I’m after something cute, a bit funky and with a lot of room so it’s a great size for me to take on the plane as my hand luggage!

We’ve recently been to Dublin which you would have seen if you follow me on Instagram and I definitely used all of these tips before and during the time that we were away.
