Spring = Stripes #NationalStripesDay

Can we say that spring is here now? Finally! We’ve had a few days of around 15 degrees and I think that’s pretty great. Basically just because I don’t have the leave the house wrapped up in a hat, scarf, bomber jacket and parka when I go to work. Winner!


I live in a really hilly, high up place in Nottingham where it’s literally always 5 x colder than it is in the city centre so I’m always chilly on my commute. I’m glad that I can now get back to wearing half my wardrobe again! Trousers, jumpsuits, jackets and tops that I’ve put off wearing for months because it’s basically been too cold. Does anyone else have a summer and winter wardrobe? I always try to pack away some summery pieces so I don’t confuse my wardrobe. Next Metallic Pool Slides

Just like the boyfriend jeans, pool slides were one trend that I wasn’t 100% sure about. I still feel that loads of them look quite ugly and I really don’t get the Nike & Adidas rubber ones worn by women, they just don’t look good to me, but that’s my opinion! Then again, whilst on the lookout for some new summer sandals, I came across these little babies from Next, for £25, real leather, metallic and a more feminine version of the pool slides that every fashion blogger on the scene has been sporting! I really like these as they’re leather, not black and rubbery and they have a strap at the back to help keep them on! I’m rubbish at backless sandals, unless they’re flip-flops because my feet just won’t seem to grip onto them! Read More
