The brand new ‘crazy golf for adults’ venue in George Street, Hockley is 100% LadBible fodder, a prime stag event venue and perfect for student Instagram accounts. Glory Holes is very try hard and badly done. The staff are all out there to ‘shock’, including the security staff playing down their Covid rules and the manager wearing his mask around his chin whilst saying ‘grab a ball from my sack’. I’m eye-rolling even writing this.
Penny Lane. The newest place to open in Nottingham’s lace market. Bar, kitchen and arcade. Basically three of my favourite things in one place! I was kindly invited to check it out and for some complimentary gaming and drinks on their press and business night with a few of my blogger besties and we had such a fun time.
Going out ‘out’ is a funny thing! It’s a bit of a mine field for casual gals like me and it kind of sets me into panic mode. I don’t like to really show much skin apart from my legs but then I stress out about being cold. Does anyone else do this? I then stress about being over or under dressed! When our summer social rolled around for work I was instantly stuck for what to wear but I had to think quick. This was my situ! I’m always wary of ‘opening nights’ as usually they’re not actually as good as the restaurant or bar would be as they were actually operating in my opinion. I’ve been to my fair share of press nights that have been a disappointment where you leave hungry and having only had one watery cocktail. Revolucion De Cuba has completely reincarnated my enthusiasm for press events after their event this week. Pretty damn awesome!
