Christmas is well and truly on it’s way, isn’t it? I’m A Celeb is almost over (sob), advent calendars have been cracked open and it’s time to start thinking about Christmas party outfits.
When it comes to dressing up for festive drinks, office parties or Christmas Day itself I like to go a little bit fancy because I don’t usually get dressed up very often so it’s even more fun! The party season is the perfect time for a red lip. Now, I love red lipstick all year round but it’s especially fun and festive at Christmas time. Here are my three top tips for perfecting your pout.
1. Use a liner
If you find it tricky to keep your red lip neat, start off with a sharp lip liner in the same shade as your lipstick and trace the outline of your lips first – just make sure you’ve got a steady hand, your liner is sharp and you don’t over line your lips. Plus, if you want your lipstick to last longer, you can fill in your lips with your liner before you apply your lipstick too. Lipliner is less slippy than lipstick and therefore it’s easier to control the outline of the colour.
