One Heck Of A Blot!

I love the names of all the Soap & Glory products, they’re always so imaginative and funny – they always draw me in! Recently, when Boots were running on of their 3 for 2 offers I picked up some S&G makeup products to try.

My usual foundation was running low so I needed a replacement. I usually like to try high-end bases and was going to get either the Charlotte Tilbury Magic or Dior’s Forever foundations but I wasn’t 100% sure which one to go for. I didn’t want to drop £30 on a foundation I wasn’t sure about so decided to try the One Heck of A Blot All-Day Foundation from Soap & Glory. So far, I’m quite impressed, it has good staying power and turns into powder from a liquid, which is really cool. I don’t think the shade range is very good, though, there’s only four and I chose Happy Medium and it’s a bit too orange but the lighter shade was definitely too light. When used with the One Heck of A Blot Instant Perfecting Power Primer they provide a long lasting base but the foundation definitely needs building up, the coverage isn’t at all what I was expecting. It’s really light so I needed at least two thin applications and concealer to achieve the coverage I wanted. Read More

A Very Pink Favourites

I’ve not written a favourites post in absolutely ages so I thought I’d have a little chat about some bits and bobs I’ve been lovely recently and they’re all very pink!

For starters, there’s a couple of Soap & Glory beauties in there, the DRAMA CLEAN™ 5-in-1 Micellar Cleansing Water, make-up comes off like a dream but the only thing I had to get used to is the cucumber smell, it’s not my favourite scent, so if you’re not a cucumber fan, I wouldn’t pick this up. I’m used to it now so I can apprecitate the product for how awesome it is but just a warning on the old green stuff! Next up from S&G is their Original Pink Reed Diffuser which you can grab in this awesome Perfect Scents gift set which is half price in the Boots sale! This is currently making my bedroom smell lovely, it’s their original and classic Soap & Glory scent and it’s really clean and fresh. The only thing with this is when you buy it you have to remove the safety ‘plug’ before you put the reeds in and it’s SO tough to remove. We have pliers, tweezers, tie wraps, the lot. Finally got there and it was worth it! Read More

October Beauty & Skincare Empties

I feel like I haven’t written an empties post in forever! It takes me a while to finish up most things because I normally have a few of the same type of product on the go at the same time. I’ve got loads in this post but I’m only going to talk about six things in it that I’d buy again to keep it short and sweet! First up is the Clarins Eau Des Jardins Body Moisturiser which is dreamy and smells awesome and is really moisturising. The scent lasts literally all day too! Next up is Avene’s Cleanance Cleansing Water – I grabbed another sample size of this for my holiday and I love it so I’ll definitely be getting a full size one when I need a new cleanser. Read More

Haircare Heroes

I don’t often chat hair on my blog. Fashion; yeah, beauty; definitely and lifestyle occasionally. I can probably count the amount of haircare posts I’ve done on one hand, I don’t know why, it’s just not normally my thang. But, I thought, seeing as I’m finally happy with my hair and what I have done to it, I’d share a few products that I rely on to keep my tresses in tip top condition. Read More
