I never knew I needed a sunglasses chain until the Mare Pearl Beaded Sunglasses Chain came into my life. When it’s super hot in the summer I’m not a huge jewellery wearer apart from maybe earrings because I get too hot and sticky! Plus, I worry about suncream getting all over nice rings and necklaces. Having a sunglasses chain is not only super practical (who knew that granny chic would extend this far?) and it can add something extra to a simple and chic summer outfit. I wear a lot of plain tops and denim shorts in the summer too so adding some beads and pearls with gold accents makes it more of an ‘outfit’, don’t you think?
4 Ways to Get Your Home Ready For Summer
Winter is (fingers crossed) almost gone for another year and the longer days and warmer weather should be starting to make themselves known again. I won’t lie to you, it’s a good feeling to not have to put on three thermals and a jumper just to leave the house! I mean, I’ve only got one thermal on today. *Eye roll emoji* Is summer around the corner?
Converse hits McArthur Glen!
Last weekend I had a very lovely visit to the new Converse store that’s recently launched at East Midlands McArthurglen Designer Outlet and we were greeted by wall to wall Converse – exactly what you’d expect.
I know what you’re thinking, weren’t they all just random neon yellow pairs that no one wanted from online? I’m not going to lie to you, there were a few random pairs knocking about on their sample sale style walls but seriously, there were so many bargains and so many pairs that you’d really want. These guys? £60 on the highstreet – so many pairs in every size for £40. That’s a £20 saving and £20 more to spend in the Cadbury outlet store. Yep.
Calke Unlocked – A visit behind the ropes
If you know me well you’ll know that I’m definitely more National Trust than night clubs and it’s been this way for a little while! We absolutely love the National Trust as you might have read in my post a few weeks ago about our first trip to Calke Abbey – we try to go at least once a month but recently because the weather’s been so gorgeous we’ve been getting out to a few every month which is awesome.
How to navigate British summer in style
On a rare sunny Sunday I shot a few snaps with some new buys and I thought that this is typical British summer. It was about 19-ish degrees and sunny at random intervals. When I think British summer, this is it. Not those freak heatwaves we have for about a week and then it rains for two. This is British summer and how to style it can be tricky!
4 Summer Wedding Style Tips
Summer weddings can be totally stunning, with blue skies as far as the eye can see, luscious green grass, and beautiful flowers (hopefully). The opportunity for your wedding photographer to utilise the glorious weather to get you the best light and background is also amazing. But you still need to get the outfit right. Like winter weddings, summer weddings also require a certain amount of seasonal consideration in the clothing. Keep on reading to find out more.
August Favourites: Un-Chippable Nails & Organic Skincare
A slightly early August favourites coming your way this month as I just can’t get enough of these few things and I know that there won’t be anything in the next week or so that makes the cut like these guys have.

The Perfect Summer-Ready Dungarees
If you know me, you’ll know that 90% of the time I dress like a 5-year old and, what can I say, I like it. If you’re telling me that dungarees and trainers aren’t comfortable and therefore an amazing daily outfit choice then quite frankly, you’re silly.

These Blue Patchwork Denim Dungarees are my new favourites, they’re perfect for travelling or flying in, heading to a festival or trekking around a new city on a weekend break. The fit on these dungarees is absolutely perfect. I’ve tried so many pairs of dungarees recently I was starting to lose the hope I was going to find some but these New Look ones were the answer to all my denim prayers.
New Summer Skincare Finds
Since the sunshine has made a sparse appearance I’ve got a couple of summer skincare favourites to share with you today. I was going to pop up a little June favourites post but then I realised that I didn’t really have that many things that I was loving that I hadn’t chatted about before on here so a full on favourites post definitely wasn’t necessary.
Melina Bay Hotel Review; Kassiopi, Corfu
If you’ve been following me on Instagram you’ll know I’ve just come back from a week long Greek escape on the island of Corfu. Specifically, we stayed in Kassiopi, a tiny little harbour town on the East side of the island. We visited here last year and decided to venture back as it’s such a beautiful place and we wanted a surefire amazing holiday location.
