It’s my 25th birthday tomorrow and that sounds super old. I know it’s not really but you always say when you’re little “When I’m 25 I’ll have blah…” so it sounds like a serious age! I think anything from 20-24 sounds quite young still but when you hit 25 it’s BAM you’re on the way to thirty now babe, sort your life out. Here are 25 good things that I’m loving from the past year / things that I’ve learnt over the years. 25 is an age where you should *probably* have your shit together and I almost feel like I do!
7 ways to style Old Skool Vans
Old Skool Vans are some of my most-worn kicks. They’re so comfy, they go with almost any outfit and they last forever. I’ve got a pair of the classic all black with the white stripe and they’re just my go-to trainers for everyday style. Here are 7 different ways how to rock my fave sneaks fresh from my Style Inspiration Pinterest board.
Spring = Stripes #NationalStripesDay
Can we say that spring is here now? Finally! We’ve had a few days of around 15 degrees and I think that’s pretty great. Basically just because I don’t have the leave the house wrapped up in a hat, scarf, bomber jacket and parka when I go to work. Winner!

I live in a really hilly, high up place in Nottingham where it’s literally always 5 x colder than it is in the city centre so I’m always chilly on my commute. I’m glad that I can now get back to wearing half my wardrobe again! Trousers, jumpsuits, jackets and tops that I’ve put off wearing for months because it’s basically been too cold. Does anyone else have a summer and winter wardrobe? I always try to pack away some summery pieces so I don’t confuse my wardrobe. I just wish I had a walk in wardrobe so I could see everything better, don’t you?
3 Ways To Switch Up Your Look
Feelin’ in a style rut? Want to try something different but you’re not sure what to add to your wardrobe or what will push you out of your comfort zone? I’ve got three things that you can try to funky up your look a little bit! Obviously, you don’t have to do all three at once if you’re not comfortable with it but I’ve always been a lil’ bit crazy and over the top with my style so it works for me!
5 Shoes Perfect For Straight Leg Denim
It’s official, say goodbye to your trusty skinny jeans (sob!) and welcome the old favourite straight leg denim back into your life. Straight leg jeans are the epitome of relaxed style, coming in and out of trends as time rolls on – but its official, they are back on trend for 2017.
Getting the right fit is vital. Make sure they’re slim, but not tight like skinnies. With a clean-cut but casual look, they look great with sweaters or relaxed tees. They are great for perfecting the chilled-out style. Whilst choosing the right top to match with your jeans is pretty easy – shoes however, can be tricky. They can make or break an outfit, so choose wisely when finishing off your outfit. Here are some of my favourite choices…
Hey Mickey, You’re So Fine
Can we just take a minute to appreciate how cute these tights are? They were super cheap from Primark and add a little something extra to a typical outfit for me. If you know me, you know that I pretty much live in denim in stripes and this CDG Play style top is actually from eBay and I’ve found a super similar one here from Daisy Street for only £12.99! My black denim pinafore is actually from New Look and again there’s a similar one here from ASOS which is lovely. I threw on my trusty Warehouse Faux Leather Jacket, similar in real leather from Mango here and my favourite Vans Old Skool Classic Trainers. Jewellery wise, my Crossbones Ring is from Bloody Mary Metal and the Large Stone Ring is from Rock n Rose.
Sports Luxe Meets Monochrome
Say hello to my favourite new trousers. They’re just like forgotten P.E kit tracksuit bottoms and they really are the comfiest things ever! Plus, they go with almost everything because, monochrome. These ASOS babies are also under £30 which is a super-bargain and are really great quality. Styled up here with my (also favourite and super comfortable) Vans Old Skool and trusty white knit.
The Spring Time Bomber Jacket
Another rare outfit of the day post, I want to do more of these as we go into the spring time if it’s something you guys would like to see? This is a completely ‘me’ outfit. Trainers, denim and a bomber jacket are all style staples for me. I’ve been obsessed with my navy bomber jacket all winter, it’s been a perfect layering piece and goes with literally everything.
Outfit Of The Day: Layering Up
Here you see the so called fashion blogger who hardly ever posts outfit posts in her unnatural habit. An outfit photo! I used to do quite a few outfit posts but due to lack of confidence of getting all the crucial bits spot on, (the hair right, the face right, the awkward expression not looking too awkward etc) I kind of gave up.
Festival Fashion Wishlist
With festi-season well and truly here it’s obviously time for a little festival fashion wish list in conjunction with Target Dry! From Coachella to Download there’s a style for everyone – I’m not a camping person so if I was heading to a festival I’d be going for the day so here’s an outfit perfect for the British weather – rain or shine. I’m going for a little bit of an Alexa Chung look with the skinnies & stripes combination! For starters, these Topshop skinny jeans are a standard base paired with this Chinti & Parker stripe top from Net-a-Porter, the heart detail on the pocket is really cute. If the weather was sunny I’d pair it with some classic white Vans but if it was raining (which it probably will be!) I’d take these Target Dry wellies for sure because white trainers + mud isn’t the best idea. To finish off the outfit I fell in love with this cream Zara sporty backpack and you’ve always got to be rain-prepared with a classic Mac in a sac!
