Breathe Life Into Your Walls

Sometimes we just take our walls for granted. They’ve either become invisible to us or simply we don’t notice them anymore. They have become dull and boring. Now and again we may look at them and think they could use a lick of paint.

Look at your wall again. The truth is with a little imagination and a spare afternoon they could become something else entirely. Go a little further and create a soothing, textured pattern or at the very least a beautiful swathe of colour created with a vibrant fabric. The list is endless, but you can dip in here and be sure to find something that will light up your wall. It doesn’t have to be expensive and it can take hardly any time at all.

Paint It Black

It doesn’t have to be black of course, though black gloss on one wall could be a radically stylish feature. Any bold colour can be painted on a wall creating a dynamic new feel. Soothing or scintillating, dramatic or soporific, it’s up to you. The paint shops awaits with a zillion choices. Feeling creative and short on cash?  Complementary colour test pots can be put to good use with a little imagination.

Wallpaper It Up

Wallpaper is as old as the idea of covering up not very happy walls but these days the sky’s the limit.  You can simply clad a wall in any design or texture you like. from jungly bamboo to gorgeous fabric feeling canvases.  And it’s not just about colour and texture anymore. Wallpaperink gives you the choice of any image you can think of, from deep forest scenarios to amazing sunsets.

Clad All Over

It’s amazing what you can do with some reclaimed timber or simple cladding destined for the floor. A wall clad with timber can be painted, stripped, stained or varnished. The cladding can be placed horizontally, vertically or even diagonally. You might need to pin the cladding to timber battens. This method can make a marvellous feature of a wall that needs a lot of love.

Cover It Up

There are a myriad of ways of transforming a wall without even going near a paintbrush or hammer. Perhaps the easiest and quickest is to throw up some artwork. Why don’t consider a gallery style montage of photographs? Create a massive bookcase unit. Intersperse book with ornaments and photographs. When you are done, you’ll be able to sit back and never take your walls for granted again.
