Hello, February! We’re well over the hump into the new year now and there’s no more January need to get on it in the gym, right? Wrong! I’m almost four weeks into my ‘Clean Eating’ Challenge and so far I’m loving it and I’m also really enjoying the gym at the moment because I’ve still got the Crossfit bug bad. Here’s me popping some deadlifts and kettlebell swings on a Saturday morning before an absolute insane WOD that wiped me out for the whole day.

My 2016 fitness goals revolve around motivating myself more to do the stuff I might avoid. This means more runs, more overhead squats, and more pull-ups. All things that I need to improve on. All goals need to be boosted with a little motivation, though, right? New gym wear has always been my motivation. I love training in great gym wear, I’ve invested a lot so far this year in my gym wardrobe, seeing as I can’t shop for actual clothes thanks to my capsule wardrobe! With Crossfit, there’s no way that you can get away with wearing the same leggings, sports bra or top again like you can with something like yoga or the occasional gym session that maybe didn’t involve cardio. Nope, with Crossfit be prepared to be the sweatiest you might have ever been. Hence the need for a fresh new workout outfit every single time.

Layers are key for Crossfit so I usually rock a sports bra, a vest or t-shirt, then a jacket or hoodie and then a gilet on top whilst warming up. This place gets cold in the winter but seriously hot when you’re doing 100 box jumps. Layers are essential. I’m loving this Violet Finish Line Slogan Vest at the moment, a slogan vest is always a winner for me, they’re cute and sassy and Boohoo is definitely place for this. Next up, these Scarlett Breathable 3/4 Sports Leggings are seriously good quality – no see-through leggings here. They’re so thick and have a really nice high waistband that sits just above the hips.
Sometimes I think people can be a little wary when fashion brands bring out sportswear but Boohoo have nailed it here with fashion and function.
Thanks to Crossfit Nottingham for being my backdrop and general all round badass place to me & Boohoo for hooking me up with these super cute workout clothes. You guys rock.
