Since the sunshine has made a sparse appearance I’ve got a couple of summer skincare favourites to share with you today. I was going to pop up a little June favourites post but then I realised that I didn’t really have that many things that I was loving that I hadn’t chatted about before on here so a full on favourites post definitely wasn’t necessary.
The first of the two goodies that I want to chat about today is the Madame La La West Coast Face Bronzing Serum, since coming back from holiday I’ve wanted to maintain a bit of a tan without having to full on fake tan or get back on the sunbeds just yet. This has been great, it’s a gradual tan which is instant at first so I wouldn’t recommend using it in the day-time. I’ve not used a gradual tanner for a while so I’m always wary of the Tango treatment so I’ve been mixing this with my moisturiser, making sure it’s completely rubbed in (and applying it down my neck too) and then making sure I’ve washed my hands! It doesn’t have a weird fake tan smell and Luke doesn’t tell me I smell like biscuits when I’ve used it which is a bonus and it creates a really nice gradual colour.

The second product I wanted to chat about was the Dermalogica Skin Refining Masque. I picked this up from Pure Beauty as a replacement for my beloved Caudalie Instant Detox Mask which I was running out of. This is a clay mask but it’s not as intense as the Caudalie one so it’s nice and gentle but it still draws out impurities and all the nasties from your skin. I’ve been really enjoying this mask and I’m a big fan of Dermalogica products anyway so it’s nice to try something else from their range. I like to use a detox or clay mask once a week to make sure I’m not storing all sorts of rubbish in my pores for any longer than I have to. I wrote a post a few weeks ago all about the best face masks for summer so if you love skincare, check that out too!
