Facial sprays are one of those little luxuries that I just love to have in my skincare and beauty routine. They just start or finish off my base so perfectly and make my skin feel really comfortable and fresh. I have three favourites that are in my routine at the moment and they all have different uses so I wanted to share them with you babes.
Sleep is a funny thing. I think we forget how important it is and how much we need it until we have a bad night’s sleep. Then, all hell breaks loose and the day ahead can be a struggle. I’m definitely in this camp – I forget how much I need sleep until I have a poor night. I don’t sleep well when I’m stressed or have things on my mind so I always find that focusing on my evening routine can really help me unwind and relax. So, if you’re like me and struggle with the ol’ switch off then these three tips might help!
If you know me well, you’ll know that I love skincare. I always have! It’s just something that I look forward to everyday. Taking my makeup off at the end of the day is a treat for me so I love to have luxurious products to do this with. I also once read that Beyonce said that she goes to bed ‘with greasy skin’ and that’s why she always looks so glowing. For some reason this has stuck with me and I love a really intense night cream or oil to apply before I go to sleep.
January. It’s here and it’s as hard as we all remember. Dark mornings, rainy days and absolutely minimal vitamin D. Ugh. The struggle is well and truly real with looking fresh and perky during the gross winter months. Sometimes you just need a little help and these 5 skincare treats have been helping me feel and look just a little bit more awake! Let me know if you tried any of these products and what you think about them in the comments.
As if it’s September? It’s basically autumn and summer is well and truly behind us. Well, I hope the weather realises so anyway because I always get so confused this time of year about what to wear. The day will start out freezing and you’ll be sweating by lunchtime. Nightmare. Anyway, seeing as it’s a whole new month I thought I’d share some items I’m lusting over for the new season.
I rarely purchase new makeup these days because I’m trying to use up everything I’ve already got but I have picked up some new bits over the past couple of weeks that I’m really enjoying so I wanted to share some of these gems with y’all.
We ran into some lovely Benefit samples at work and I went home with the Benefit GoGo Tint and the Benefit They’re Real Duo Shadow Blender which was a lovely surprise. Let’s start with the eyeshadow. The weird little applicator is impossible to use so let’s just forget about that. It’s tiny and you can not keep hold of it unless you have a pincer grip. But, the product itself, being the eyeshadow is a beautiful rich taupe-y brown shade and I’ve been using it almost everyday because it’s lovely and matte. The shimmery shade is also a great highlight colour and the formula of both is buttery and smooth and really long lasting.
It seems to be cold and grey and gross in the UK for so long that when the spring time rolls around and we actually get some sunshine we all freak out and think it’s summer (put those shorts away guys, it’s not warm!). But, it’s still kinda chilly but there are definitely some changes happening with the weather. My skin and hair always go a bit weird when the weather changes, does yours?
Skincare and beauty are big loves of mine. I’ve always loved makeup and trying new products so innovative releases are super exciting to me. I’ve got 5 new releases to chat to you about today, all of which I’ve been trialling for about 2 weeks to give a good idea of what I think. Let’s get straight down to it!
Today’s post is a super quick feature all about my new fave eye cream product. I absolutely love love love the Kiehls Avocado Eye Cream but that’s a nice and thick night time option that I have in my skincare routine. The new Clarins Multi-Active Eye Cream is the perfect morning pick me up! I’ve had the old school Garnier roller ball one and I have a similar one in the form of the Botanics All Bright Refreshing Roll On (this is a great drug store dupe of this Clarins one I’m loving!) and I really like a metal applicator for my eye products in the morning. It’s so refreshing and really wakes me up.
I always love trying out new skincare and although the majority of this range isn’t new to me and to the market but there are a few new products that have been added to the range. The range in question is the Tea Tree & Witch Hazel from Boots, with some of the products having added Active Charcoal too. I’ve been giving these a go over the past week or so as my skin’s been feeling quite oily. My skin can never make it’s mind up in the winter, it’s dry one minute and super oily the next so it needs a bit of balancing out.
