Today’s post is a super quick feature all about my new fave eye cream product. I absolutely love love love the Kiehls Avocado Eye Cream but that’s a nice and thick night time option that I have in my skincare routine. The new Clarins Multi-Active Eye Cream is the perfect morning pick me up! I’ve had the old school Garnier roller ball one and I have a similar one in the form of the Botanics All Bright Refreshing Roll On (this is a great drug store dupe of this Clarins one I’m loving!) and I really like a metal applicator for my eye products in the morning. It’s so refreshing and really wakes me up.
I always love trying out new skincare and although the majority of this range isn’t new to me and to the market but there are a few new products that have been added to the range. The range in question is the Tea Tree & Witch Hazel from Boots, with some of the products having added Active Charcoal too. I’ve been giving these a go over the past week or so as my skin’s been feeling quite oily. My skin can never make it’s mind up in the winter, it’s dry one minute and super oily the next so it needs a bit of balancing out.
Up for review today in the skincare stakes are these skin-soothing products from Dr. Bronner. I’ve seen this brand everywhere for a few years, most noticeably the Castile Liquid Soap that I know loads of beauty bloggers are a fan of for washing brushes. But, until now, I’d not actually trialed the products for myself.
It’s not often that I write favourites posts but every few months I find a few things that I find myself really liking and it’s always good to mix up the content on here! Here are 6 (mostly skincare and beauty but with a fashion fave) products that have been giving me life in December!
1. Time For Tea?
My favourites this month are four special things that have been making my beauty and shower routines feel a little more luxe! It’s always nice to have some luxury in your life and these products definitely have been giving me a little extra in the decadent department.
First up are these Maria Nila Stockholm Luminous Colour Shampoo & Conditioner. These smell fab and left my hair feeling super soft and just clean and lovely. I’ve wanted to try this brand for so long after seeing them all over Instagram, they’re just so pretty and the packaging is gorgeous. I actually won these, luckily, on a little Facebook competition along with a few other products so I was over the moon! I’m not sure if I’d repurchase them yet because they’re quite pricey but I’m loving that I won them. I’d recommend them for sure for coloured hair though because they left my hair in great condition.
I’ve been using this Hylamide Booster Sensitive Skin Fix Serum for a while now and it’s been a really nice addition to my evening skincare routine when I want to also use a moisturiser. I mix between this, usually paired with the Vichy Idealia Skin Sleep night cream and also using the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate on its own as my post-cleanse moisture shot!
A slightly early August favourites coming your way this month as I just can’t get enough of these few things and I know that there won’t be anything in the next week or so that makes the cut like these guys have.
Neal’s Yard & Deliciously Ella – Rose, Lime & Cucumber Facial Wash & Moisturiser
Say hello to the new range from Neutrogena to hit the UK high street! It’s the No. 1 skincare product in the US from a 2015 Nielsen study and now we can get our hands on it. I’ve been trialling their new Hydro Boost range which is super lightweight yet delivers intense hydration and is absolutely perfect for summer. They say it leads to “skin so supple it bounces back!”. Having hydrated skin means you look healthier and younger because hydration maintains elasticity and flexibility in the skin.
The hot weather and summer time usually always means switching up your skincare and beauty routine. It definitely does for me anyway, it’s time for less makeup, mattifying skincare and a lot of moisturisation without feeling weighed down and greasy.
I’ve been trying some exciting Clarins products recently and wanted to share what I thought about them. First up, I’ve recently finished a face scrub so the One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser is a welcome addition to my regime. This is a physical exfoliator which is a subtle amount of ‘scrubby’, it’s not too harsh, smells really good and is a great every-other-day cleanser. My skin feels super fresh after using this and it’s great for removing dead skin cells and a build up of sweat, suncream and other summer gunk build up!
Since the sunshine has made a sparse appearance I’ve got a couple of summer skincare favourites to share with you today. I was going to pop up a little June favourites post but then I realised that I didn’t really have that many things that I was loving that I hadn’t chatted about before on here so a full on favourites post definitely wasn’t necessary.
