Shopping for the ‘rents can be tricky at Christmas but over the years I like to think that I’m getting better. Here are a few of my favourite picks and ideas for the main people in our lives! From beauty to bookmarks, I’ve got it covered.
Pressies For Mums
If you’re mum is a beauty and skincare junkie then she’s probably pretty easy to buy for and Christmas can be a great time to really treat her! I may or may not have already picked up the beautiful Clarins Festive Eyeshadow Palette which is a glorious palette of 10 ultra-soft eyeshadows in warm, nude shades in three different textures and finishes. Every woman needs a stunning eyeshadow palette in her life and this is one of the best things on the market right now in my opinion.
Caudalie is another gorgeous brand for luxurious skincare and beauty products. Their legendary Beauty Elixir smooths away fine lines, tightens pores, sets makeup and gives skin a radiance boost as well as smelling absolutely amazing! The Divine Oil Multi-Purpose Dry Oil is another great product that can be used on the body, hair, nails, in the bath or as a massage oil. It leaves skin super soft and again, smells awesome. A final product from Caudalie that I would always buy for people is the Instant Detox Mask because it just draws out all the impurities in the skin and is perfect for an at-home facial.
The Body Shop is another Christmas favourite that never disappoints for me. The Oils of Life Eye Cream Gel and the Fuji Green Tea Festive Picks are both stunning stocking fillers for your favourite lady.
Treats For Dads
Dads can be notoriously hard to buy for but a top tip that I always go with is keeping the gifting really niche. Focus on one of two of their main interests and theme your present along those lines. If your dad loves to read then a Tom Dixon Tool Fountain Pen Bookmark which also comes in Quill and Postcard designs could be a great gift. It’s not too expensive but looks awesome because of the design elements and material.
Finally, a great gift for a cookery-loving Dad is a meat thermometer. OK, sounds mental but if he’s cooking the turkey on Christmas Day it’ll be the perfect moment for him to test it out! The SuperFast Thermapen is recommended by top chefs and is really responsive. When the turkey reaches 75˚C or above in the thickest part, it’s cooked and is ready to rest! That’s a top turkey tip, right there.
