I’ve never been to Thailand but it’s definitely on my travel bucket list so I will 100% be entering this amazing competition. I thought I’d definitely tell you guys about it because it’s an incredible prize. I didn’t realise how much you could actually do in Thailand so whilst checking out this competition I definitely learnt a few things and I wanted to share them! Here are 6 amazing things you can get up to in Thailand.
The mountains and jungles of Chiang Mai make great destinations for a trek! It would be amazing to visit the remote hill tribes and experience local customs. “Often these treks are combined with bamboo rafting, visits to waterfalls and overnight stays in a hill tribe village”.
2. James Bond Island Tour
James Bond Island is based in Phang Nga Bay, near to Phuket, Phi Phi and Krabi. Ko Tapu is the name of the rock formation here made famous in the James Bond movie ‘The Man with the Golden Gun’! You can visit this island by speed boat which is super James Bondy!
3. White Water Rafting
I never knew you could do white water rafting in Thailand before this little lot of research! The thrilling rapids of the Mae Taeng River in Chiang Mai are a great place to do this exciting sport.
4. Rock Climbing
Krabi is the destination for rock climbers with it’s amazing limestone rocks and peaks. “Railay and Tonsai Beach are particularly ideal locations with organised routes and well trained instructor.”
The uninhabited Similan Islands include some of the best diving in Thailand. With diving levels to suit everyone, whether you’re a beginner or super pro, you can spot loads of marine life including the hawksbill sea turtle.
See Chiang Mai from a completely new angle by ziplining! I know, I didn’t know Thailand had a Centre Parcs. I’m joking, obviously, but I never realised you could do this sort of thing in Thailand.
