Crete through a lens

I love a photo diary and since picking up my new Olympus Pen ELP7 I’ve enjoyed snapping a lot more than I did with my bigger DSLR camera. I wanted to share some of my favourite shots and a couple of great things that we did during our little Cretan adventure in this mini photo diary.

The buildings in the old town of Rethymno are super beautiful against the blue-sky backdrop.

Greece is full of super cute pink flowers and hydrangeas are some of my favourites so when we took a land train ride out to some cute villages I snapped these.

If you’re ever in Crete and you love craft beer as much as we do then I’d definitely recommend heading to the first Cretan brewery. These guys make some seriously tasty brewskies. We picked up four bottles of their Blonde Lager and their Pale Ale because they’re so good. We had a tour around the microbrewery and a taste of each beer for only €2.

We visited the brewery via the cutest little fun train. The stations for these trips are dotted all around Platanias and the trips are great value. We spent €19 each and the trip to three different villages which took around 3 hours.

Finally, if you love strawberry daiquiris then you need to head to Cafe cafe in Platanias. The best in the town, I promise you.
