Last weekend I had a very lovely visit to the new Converse store that’s recently launched at East Midlands McArthurglen Designer Outlet and we were greeted by wall to wall Converse – exactly what you’d expect.
I know what you’re thinking, weren’t they all just random neon yellow pairs that no one wanted from online? I’m not going to lie to you, there were a few random pairs knocking about on their sample sale style walls but seriously, there were so many bargains and so many pairs that you’d really want. These guys? £60 on the highstreet – so many pairs in every size for £40. That’s a £20 saving and £20 more to spend in the Cadbury outlet store. Yep.
They even had some amazing Mara Hoffman pairs for only £29.99 but sadly, only in a size 4 and a size 6, and guess where I am, bang in the middle! I did find loads of pairs of the Chuck 70 style with the shiny outer and the thicker sole which I love and I picked up a cream canvas pair which are going to be amazing for autumn outfits. They were meant to be £70 and were down too £50 in the McArthurglen store – amazing! I spotted some bright red ones that were amazingly cute and also lots of low top pairs. Some of the pairs of shoes in the shop literally left the Converse website last week so the stock is super fresh and they have so many pairs of the classic Dolphin Grey and burgundy amongst other styles and colours.
I’m wearing my new fave, ASOS Design Minimal Check Jersey Jumpsuit over a simple Topshop tee and I was wearing my classic black Converse, shoes that I wear literally all the time! Paired with my Miss Selfridge straw tote that hasn’t left my side since I bought it – it’s the perfect summer bag!
