Let’s get straight to it, yes it’s extensions and yes they’re clip in. I had an event recently, a beautiful wedding to attend and I fancied something a bit different with my hair. I always hate with events when your hair goes flat within a few hours or your curls drop out. I wanted to do an updo but the length of my hair only lends itself to a low bun which is a style I wear my hair in on a few days a week basis so this wasn’t cutting it either.
This is where Clip Hair steps in. I always see celebs in pony extensions and we all want a little bit of Ariana Grande realness from time to time don’t we? I decided on a Molly Mae style pony with a wavy fringe. I knew that the curl in my fringe wouldn’t last forever but I wanted a little bit of height at the roots to start with at least so I clipped it up whilst I got ready to make it last a bit longer too.
I chose the Mini 14″ ponytail as I didn’t want anything too dramatic and even the mini seemed so long for me and my hair – this is the most hair I’ve ever had! I chose the Dark Ash Blonde colour which I think was a touch too warm for my roots but matched my ends perfectly so I thought I’d be able to get away with it. I wasn’t wearing it to look 100% natural anyway so I just rocked it!
It was actually super easy to apply and wear and although it was quite heavy to begin with I got used to it really quickly. Check out this handy video below from Clip Hair on how to wear the Straight-Up Wrap Around Ponytail. This is exactly how I applied it apart from I had my hair in a bun as it was quite small once it was wrapped together so easy to attach the ponytail too and must less obvious that it wasn’t my hair as I wasn’t trying to blend my short ponytail with a long one. I clipped it in, wrapped the side piece around it all and secured it with a couple of hair grips and it stayed put all night!
