3 Honeymoon Destinations To Consider

In collaboration with Belle Lingerie.

Having rearranged my own wedding three times I’ve also had to think and rethink honeymoons a couple of times, too! We’ve previously planned trips to both Scotland and South Africa – Covid dependant but we didn’t end up taking either trip but we’ve *finally* planned and paid for our honeymoon for this year which will also fall over our anniversary.

The one we’ve settled on? I’ll reveal later in the post but for now I’ll take you through some of our options and the possibilities that we’d previously considered. Let me know your honeymoon ideas and destinations in the comments.

Barcelona

Barcelona is one of our favourite places in Europe and it’s packed with amazing restaurants, great shopping, cute hidden bars, stylish hotels, a city break and a beach all rolled into one. We’ve previously been to Barcelona in 2017 and it seems so, so long ago – I’d love to go back. Barcelona’s brunch culture is one of my favourites, what the Catalonians can do with an avocado is next level.

Travel links in Barcelona are also really easy as their trains and Metro are really simple to work out, we caught their version of the Tube loads of times last time we were there and would definitely do the same if we were to go back.

Greece

Greece is one of our favourite holiday destinations, we’ve visited both Corfu, Zakynthos and Crete and I’d love to explore more of the islands and potentially visit Athens or Mykonos. The food is always amazing in Greece – (I absolutely love a gyros!) and the people are always so friendly. The weather is also pretty much fool-proof *most of the time* and you always come home with a great tan. There’s always so much to do and explore with quad bikes, ruins, relaxing and sunbathing and of course, drinking Mythos!

I always think the flight to Greece isn’t bad for how exotic it can feel. 3-4 hours for beautiful seas and amazing scenery isn’t half bad.

New York

Spoiler alert, this is the one we’ve picked! I’ve been before but it was about 10 years ago and I remember hardly anything so I’m so excited to go back. We’ve been watching numerous TopJaw videos all about where to eat in Brooklyn, where we’ll be staying, and we’re going to take in all of the tourist sites as well as eat our way through all of the pizza slices in New York. We’re staying near to Long Island City which is meant to be a really cool hub of fun, hipster places to explore. You’ll find me outside the Friends building!

Where did you go for your honeymoon? Or, where would you love to go? Let me know in the comments!
