Festival season is something that us Brits live for. The mud, the unpredictable weather, the abandonment of tents (not advised) and the taste of cider in the sun. Obviously, if you’ve just been to Glastonbury you’ll be a pro at these but there are so many more festivals to come in the UK this year. There’s Reading & Leeds, Latitude, V Festival and loads more so these tips from My Voucher Codes might come in handy.
How To Be Healthy This Festival Season
Festivals are pretty much one of the best things about summer (shout out to summer holidays too) and if you’re yet to don your finest festival attire – denim shorts, some kind of fringing and wellies obvs – in your lifetime for a weekend of muddy musical mayhem then quite frankly you’re missing out.
Gin Explorer – The Best Parcel, Ever?
You’ve heard of Birchbox and Glossybox, right? The monthly beauty subscription boxes that have inspired interior design subscription boxes, snack boxes such as Graze and even stationery (breathe!) monthly boxes. A monthly box is like Christmas every 4 weeks! You get a present, yeah, that you’ve bought yourself, but it’s still a surprise what’s in your box every time it pops through the letterbox.
4 Steps To Planning The Perfect Summer Festival
With the warmer months just around the corner, now is the ideal time to start thinking about the festival season. From the venue to the entertainment, there is a lot to think about when it comes to organising an event like this. So that you can get your preparations underway, here are four simple steps to help you plan the perfect summer festival.
Festival Fashion Wishlist
With festi-season well and truly here it’s obviously time for a little festival fashion wish list in conjunction with Target Dry! From Coachella to Download there’s a style for everyone – I’m not a camping person so if I was heading to a festival I’d be going for the day so here’s an outfit perfect for the British weather – rain or shine. I’m going for a little bit of an Alexa Chung look with the skinnies & stripes combination! For starters, these Topshop skinny jeans are a standard base paired with this Chinti & Parker stripe top from Net-a-Porter, the heart detail on the pocket is really cute. If the weather was sunny I’d pair it with some classic white Vans but if it was raining (which it probably will be!) I’d take these Target Dry wellies for sure because white trainers + mud isn’t the best idea. To finish off the outfit I fell in love with this cream Zara sporty backpack and you’ve always got to be rain-prepared with a classic Mac in a sac!
What's in My Festival Survival Kit
Dry shampoo, baby wipes, a little bit of sea-salt spray, loads of anti-bacterial stuff and a little bit of Avene Eau Thermale is the perfect festival survival kit. Forget the tent, I just need my Toni & Guy Sea-Salt Spray! Sporks have been my favourite piece of cutlery ever since I was in the cadets and doing Duke of Edinburgh, they’re an ingenious bit of kit that house a spoon, fork and a serrated edge for choppin’ and cuttin’!
#NOTMRRW Festival Fashion Style Steals: Jess Glynne & Indiana
The weekend brought us sunshine and amazing music as Luke & I ventured over to Wollaton Park in Nottingham for a home-grown festival called No Tomorrow. The weather fooled us in the morning and was pretending to be horrible and rainy but by the time we’d arrived the sun was out and it was amazing sunshine! We saw Sam Smith, Clean Bandit, Duke Dumont and loads of other great acts but two of our favourites were Jess Glynne and Indiana. They both also looked amazing, both of their outfits were wicked so I thought I’d do a little get the look post with them as my inspiration! Please excuse my grainy iPhone photos!
