My Favourite 20 Minute HIIT Workout

Here’s another little workout post for you guys. I love a good HIIT workout and I’ve formulated this little one together from a few exercises that I really enjoy. I’m wearing the Davina F&F Geo Print Medium Impact Sports Bra from Tesco’s clothing range and I love it. Are you ready to sweat? Set a timer for one-minute intervals for 20 minutes – I just downloaded any old interval timer apps from the App Store, they all work pretty much the same. This workout is four different exercises and then you can top it off with a minute plank for a finisher! Read More

Sundried Ethical Sportswear

Today’s post is a little different, I’ve got a new gym wear discovery to tell you about! Sundried an ethical company founded by Daniel Puddick, a personal trainer and triathlete who wanted to create a brand that his children will be proud to be associated with in the future. Sundried produce their ethical activewear responsibly in partnership with The Low Carbon Innovation Fund to keep their carbon footprint minimal. The materials are sourced in Europe and handmade in Portugal. Sundried has been developing a sustainable technology suitable for activewear by utilising coffee’s natural ability to block odour, how cool is that? TheFridayGirl-56 They also give something back by providing a charitable donation code with each Sundried item to charity Water for Kids, which is a great cause. Every item in their collection is coded with a unique pledge to charity Water for Kids, who provide clean water sources for those in need.

“I put together a team at the top of their game, with excellent experience in premium activewear. I challenged them to deliver a stylish and superbly functional collection, which was ethical through and through.

Our first collection, I’m proud to say, delivers. We’ve used materials and production processes that are kind to the environment, and our clothing is made in Portugal by experienced and fairly treated specialists.”

Super Quick Butt-Boosting Leg Workout

“I bet you’re in the gym for like 2 hours at a time aren’t you?” someone said to me the other day. I felt almost as if they were judging me and saying I’m boring just because I like fitness. It’s difficult to judge what people think about you when they say things like that but I definitely think we shouldn’t be thought of as boring if we do like to spend time in the gym. The point is that I only spend an hour in the gym if I’m doing a yoga class. My other sessions are between 25-40 minutes and that’s enough time to get a great workout in, so I don’t even spend that much time in there. It’s quite frustrating, don’t you think? Read More

90% Say No To Nutrition Plans

I love a good statistic about health and fitness and I was so surprised when I saw this infographic and it said that 90% of people from the survey (around 250 people, I believe) said that they didn’t follow a nutrition or eating plan in conjunction with their gym training plans. Why? If you’re planning your training or even just training ad-hoc there’s no reason why you shouldn’t want to eat to the best of your ability too and get the best out of your efforts. Read More

How To Get Fit When You Hate The Gym

There are so many alternatives to joining the gym nowadays. It often makes more sense to get fit in your own home than to spend all that money on a gym membership.

Get Your Walk On

It’s often the smallest things that can have the biggest impact on your overall health. One of the things that you should do more of is walking. It doesn’t cost a penny to walk about more often. In fact, it can actually save you money if it means that you take the car a little less. Paying for fuel is not cheap, and that’s before you start adding up the other costs like car insurance. You could even ditch the car altogether. Simply walking to the shop a couple of times a week, or being the person who takes the dog for a walk can improve your fitness levels dramatically.  Read More

My Gym Essentials feat. LDN Muscle & Log It Or Lose It

Here’s my newest health and fitness routine that I’m now a whole week (massive, I know) into. Disclaimer: There’s no juicing, no Special K cereal, no skipping meals, I’m eating carbs and hardly doing any running. My latest health & fitness kick is just a step up from what I’ve been doing for the past year but will some added intensity and more monitoring!
