Recently we headed to Whitby for a couple of days of sea air, fish and chips and checking out Dracula’s hang outs.
The food in Whitby is absolutely lovely, you pretty much can’t go wrong anywhere that you go but we definitely had some favourites that we visited across the three days that we were there that I wanted to share!
This was going to be one of my ’24 hours in’ posts just like I’ve done with Leeds, Birmingham and London previously but we were actually only in Soho, London for about 5 hours so this is a little more compact but still jam-packed full of fun and delicious food. We didn’t have chance to stay in any hotels in Soho because we stayed the night before with our friends in beautiful Greenwich after a random but fun night at the O2 watching the Harlem Globetrotters!
Ok, I know what you’re thinking. How can crayfish and prawns be budget? Someone remarked the other day that my lunch looked ‘so expensive’ in a fairly judgemental ‘why are you spending so much money on food, you’re irresponsible’ way. This kind of annoyed me because I know that I don’t overspend, I like to think I’m pretty good with money and love to eat good food but don’t want to spend the earth on it. In my teeny household we spend max £40 a week on food for two people and we eat this kind of ‘fancy’ salad at least once a week. This is one of my favourite lunches that I’m having at the moment and it’s well within our budget. I shop at Lidl so these are the roundabout prices for there, they occasionally chop and change though, so take them with a pinch of salt.
Today I’m reviewing a little place that I’ve wanted to go for a while now as I’ve always loved the way that it looked and the branding and the general feel of the place looked great so at the weekend I ventured along with the intention of doing a little review to see if it was up to scratch to recommend on next week’s Grazia regional blogger feature – #WhatToDoThisWeek, where I give people the heads up about somewhere fab to go in Nottingham for the coming week.
