Getting fit and healthy is actually ridiculously easy. The only reason people find it hard is because they make it that way. They try to eat 500 calories a day, run for miles morning and night, and live off just spinach and kale. Either that or they try stupid detoxes and find them way too hard. I’m here to tell you the ridiculously easy way to get fit and healthy. Trust me, you’ll like it better!
Find Healthy Ways To Make Favourite Foods
You probably have a ton of favourite foods. Pizza, Chinese stir fry, whatever. Find ways to make your favourite foods healthier. For instance, make pizza at home with a wrap and low fat cheese. Make your stir fry with carb free noodles (carb free – yep, they exist!). Making things yourself automatically makes them healthier. Using better ingredients is a bonus. If you do this rather than turning to takeaways and quick fixes all the time, you’ll make huge progress.
Incorporate Exercise Daily
Find ways to incorporate exercises daily. You don’t have to do a killer spin class every evening. You could simply go for a quick walk around the block, or a 15 minute yoga session at home. Even parking your car a little further away from your destination each day will add up over time. Going to the gym and doing classes and stuff helps, but little things like this really make a difference. You’ll barely notice you’re doing them either!
Find Ways To Quit Your Bad Habits
Bad habits drag you down. This is probably the hardest part of becoming fit and healthy, but it can still be done. If you don’t feel you can quit smoking cold turkey, an electronic cigarette could be really helpful. There are options and support out there for just about everybody, so take small steps now.
Start Off Really Slowly
Start off really slowly if you like. Cut down on your fizzy drink intake. Eat more vegetables. Aim to do one more healthy thing each week until you’re way healthier. It really works! No need to do everything at once and feel overwhelmed by it all.
Don’t Beat Yourself Up
If you feel like you’ve made a mistake, don’t beat yourself up. You’re only human. The key is to not letting that mistake stop you from getting to where you want to be. One mistake in the grand scheme of things isn’t important. Success isn’t linear!
Make It A Permanent Lifestyle Choice
This should be a permanent lifestyle choice. Once you see it as something you’re doing forever, it should make you feel less pressured to be perfect. Health and fitness has no timeline. There’s always going to be a new goal. Enjoy the process and you’ll quickly get to where you want to be. Start off really small! Taking baby steps each week is better than not doing anything at all.
