My Saturdays have been a little crazy recently, we had our mini break to Oxford, we visited my parents back in Bath (hey, Grillstock!) and I spent a Saturday shooting some awesome photos for the blog with Anna from Pear & Bear Photography too. I love being busy but my Saturdays are always the best when they’re lazy. Usually, I head to Crossfit for 8am for an interval session and to catch up with the team there. Then, I head home, grab some breakfast and tidy round the house before we head into town for some lunch or just a coffee.
Coming from a small town it still blows my mind that I live somewhere that I can just jump on the tram for 15 minutes and I’m in the middle of a city centre with anything I could ever want for a Saturday of fun. Shopping, check. Cinema, check. Crazy golf? CHECK! Literally anything. Back home there’s a Caffe Nero if you’re lucky and a string of charity shops. In Nottingham, I’ve got the pick of some awesome cafes, bakeries and restaurants and I have to have a coffee on a Saturday. It should basically be called cappuccino-day.
This is essentially a post to big up one of my favourite coffee haunts in Nottingham. When Copper popped up near the Royal Centre we were already big fans. They have two other locations in Mapperley and West Bridgford and they are both awesome places to head on the weekend and relax. I love that they’ve now opened up in Nottingham city centre because it’s a fab place to take a break from shopping or to head for some brunch. They do the most incredible Veggie Club sandwich packed with avocado, roasted veg, houmous and halloumi. It’s the sandwich of dreams.
