Interior design and decorating my home is one of my favourite things to spend money on. Of course, I love beauty and shopping for clothes but you’ll probably more likely see me buying a fresh and fancy cushion than a new blusher!
I picked up this Homebase Chrome Ball Floor Lamp the other week to add yet another light source into my living area in the flat. We already have a large black and chrome oversized lamp in the opposite corner and usually just have the two of them on and this gives a really nice light to the room as opposed to having the ‘big’ light on. For just under £30 I thought this pretty Homebase number was super good value and it looks much more expensive than it actually is. I love a bargain! It’s sitting pretty next to my minimalist frame wall and my plant stand which usually houses fresh flowers (when I remember to buy them!).
Floor lamps can really make a difference in a room, I don’t usually like to use table lamps as my source of lighting in my flat as I find them a bit underwhelming. A floor lamp just gives off the perfect amount of light and is really comforting and flattering in for the rest of the room. Here are a few more ideas on how to incorporate floor lamps into your living space, fresh from my favourite platform to procrastinate on – Pinterest!
I’m really loving the copper lamps at the moment, (as you can see from the pics) but the silver-tone of the Homebase lamp just fits a little more nicely into our living and dining room aesthetic. I think copper looks fab with grey walls but we have all white and dark floors so chrome looks great with that too.
Homebase has a great range of lamps in at the moment, you can get the look of the white shaded natural wood tripod lamp in the first pic with the Poppy Tripod Floor Lamp. They also have it in a stunning grey and white version too. I also love the Camera Head style lamps that are like gigantic, oversized film-set style lamps, how cool are these?
How do you incorporate lighting into your home – are you a floor lamps fan or more of a lights on all the time person?
“I love lamp.” “Are you just looking at items in the office and saying that you love them?”
